Awesome product and even better customer service. I found the foam and plastic sheets to be perfectly cut to fit within the Pelican 1510 case. I went to a sheet metal shop and had four .030 aluminum sheets cut to the dimensions of the foam minus the notches for the hand holds. I then used Gorilla Glue to glue the plastic sheets to the aluminum sheets. After cutting out my tools into the black foam I then glued the black foam to the red plastic sheets for the shadowing effect. The combination of the aluminum and plastic sheets made the trays very rigid and perfect for my needs. Now, all my tools stay in place even after TSA rifles through my box while traveling. The Gorilla Glue made for a perfect substance to adhere all the different layers together and I couldn’t be happier. I actually ordered two sets of foam in the event I messed one tray up experimenting or needed a extra tray. After all was said and done, I didn’t need the extra at all. I contacted the company and asked for a return or which they agreed without question. In the interim, I decided to purchase and build a slightly larger case in the Pelican 1560. The company gladly exchanged my excess 1510 foam and credited me towards the purchase of the 1560 foam. I am overly happy and impressed with the quality and service I received. I’d highly recommend this company and this product to any and all I come in contact with.

I was sent a Pelican 1535 foam kit at first (it lookslike the labels were mixed up). I informed the sellera good while after purchasing and they replaced itwith the correct Pelican 1510 foam kit - noquestions asked and free shipping. The foam ishigh quality and the backings are perfect. Will buy from again.

My son purchased these inserts for his aviation tool box. He is an airplane mechanic and likes these. He put them in his case after cutting out the shapes of his tools. He said that this makes a big difference when working on aircraft. He know exactly what tools go where and what he would be missing. He has a travel size tool box so it easy to pull around from one job to the next. The form piece are of great quality and definitely much cheaper than some of the name brands on the market today. He plans on buying more. Do not hesitate to buy these if you have an oz of buying.

Good quality foam and I really like the red ABS trays that help keep everything rigid when you're pulling them out of the case. I only have 2 gripes about this kit. First, there is no adhesive. So plan on buying some spray adhesive after you've cut everything out to glue the foam to the red tray.Second - and this may be mostly my fault- there is a correct and incorrect side to cut from. My first tray I didnt notice this, and there were no instructions informing me about this. So my first tray looks like it was cut out by a 4th grade kid on crack.

To add more flexibility to the organization, I combined this kaizen foam with the trekpak kit. Doing like this I have the most common tools well organized and available, and the trekpak kit adds the flexibility to properly organize and modify as needed.Basically I only use 2 of the 4 included kaizen foam trays and included a trekpak kit which I had to cut its height so it can fit with the 2 trays of kaizen foam.

Good quality and still fairly lightweight. Used a razor blade to shadow my tools and keep them in place. Worth the money.

I used this product to make custom trays for my 1510. It seems that it will work fine. If you care about what the finished product looks like, run far, far away.This foam is difficult to cut, the “cut with a utility knife” claims/instructions are misleading. Yeah, you can cut it with a utility knife. How are you going to guarantee the knife goes straight through the foam and not angled one way or another (especially on the thick piece). How do you guarantee a straight line (because snap-off knifes are flimsy/flexible)? How many utility knives will you go through because the blades snapped off while trying to turn a corner?Cutting out the shapes with a utility knife was frustrating and super time consuming, and the foam looks all frayed and nasty. Before I finished even one whole tray, I got on Amazon and ordered a hot knife to cut this with. Works waaaay better than the utility knife, finished product is better, but still kind of ugly. I even bought sand paper and tried to use it to clean up the frayed foam, doesn’t work. Just makes it fray out more.I also learned there is actual foam meant for shadowing tools. Just trace the item with a scalpel, and the foam is layered so you can make the cutout the proper depth by peeling back layers by hand (having to cut all the way through the foam with the kit I’m reviewing weakens the foam, and causes a whole host of other considerations that need to be made, and it looks amateur at best).If you want things to work and look good, don’t be like me. Do a little research up front, and get the product you actually want and avoid spending too much money on this system.

Perfect fit, the hard inserts sure make it easier to remove a layer at a time. Got all my tools shadowed and I would recommend this to a friend or anyone who is serious about keeping their tools organized.
