Can it hold 3 wick bath and body works candles?

It holds 4-18 oz. The base holds a 3" candle. So if your 3 wick candle is 6" around it want work. But if it's 3" around it will. Either glass or metal.

Has anyone used this to heat wax (for hair removing purposes). I tried and felt that the wax wasn't liquid enough. How long do you heat it?

I have this item and it works great for me. I use it to heat scented wax tarts or I place a candle in a jar. Bought several for Christmas gifts. Works great. Good luck.

Does this candle warmer take longer to get an even burn than the traditional way of burning a candle (lighting the wick)?

I'm going to be honest, nothing will be better than the traditional way of lighting the wick. It's nice for college tho because my dorms don't allow candles with wicks. Lighting a candle wick also seems to be more potent/stronger of a smell (in a good way) than candle warmers. I also think the cord can become a bit of a hassle rather than just lighting the candle. Also, it does seem to take a whole to notice a smell. After using this product for a whole I realized candle warmers don't really replace the experience of simply lighting a candle.
