When you consider that to buy a spectrum analyser with the features of the TinySA ten years ago it would have been comparable to the price of a small family hatchback car. So for the price of a cheap night out the TinySA is even more remarkable. What the hardware and software developers have achieved in such a small package and for the price is remarkable. I placed my order, via Amazon Prime, prior to reading the reviews so I was fearful I’d end up receiving one of the myriad of inferior copies, thankfully that was not the case and the unit I received was the genuine article. In my working life I had access to the cutting edge of test equipment technology, now that I’m retired my needs are more pedestrian but the TinySA easily meets these needs with features to spare. As well as displaying signals I’ve been able to determine their modulation and accurate keying speeds using squaring techniques and AM/FM detection methods with this analyser. The hardware and software developers need to be congratulated for creating this exceptional tool.

I bought the TinySA Spectrum Analyser to check performance of UHF radio mic system Receivers and Transmitters running at frequenices up to 865 MHz, and it works well, both in generating signals to test the receivers and measuring signals from the transmitters. The Windows software that can be downloaded is not the best, and is not especially intuitive to use : I found that setting up signal parameters is often just as easy using the touchscreen on the device itself. The one advantage of the USB link to a computer is the button to capture the screen display from the analyser, and then save it in a choice of common image formats : that's a great way to record results of measurements.

Having used spectrum analysers in the past I was happy to see this device on YouTube. Amazing the price and results for the money. Really appreciate to be able to get such a useful device.

After I returned my tinySA due to an attenuator issue , SeeSii got in touch and made sure ai had a fully working replacement. Sometimes things go wrong but it is the way a company deals with the issue is the most important thing. I cannot recommend this company more! You will be safe if you purchase from them.

While I wouldn't expect laboratory precision from something like this, it is truly amazing in what it does do, and the sensitivity is excellent. Used it to diagnose problems with a UHF TV aerial installation, and if you know what to look for it tells you everything you need to know. A weakness is that large signals can appear to "bloom" across a considerably greater frequency range than they actually occupy, but then this is also what will go on in a real receiver.

This was such a useful and easy to operate piece of equipment. I have been using it almost daily but it stopped working today. When I used it last time, I saved the current settings to be the power-up settings and now it's bricked! I have tried doing the reset procedure with the toggle button and I am now waiting for an account to open with ST in order to download the new firmware. I've spent a couple of hours going through everything and still getting nowhere. It's a real shame, I am guessing there's a firmware issue somewhere.

Just the 4 star as I have only had it for a few hours, I am sure it will deserve the full 5.So far I have only had a chance to power it up and try the list of self tests - all were passed (some clones fail some of them). I then took a sneaky peak inside, to check that the three shielding cans were present (clones do not have them apparently) and they are all there as expected. I look forward to trying out this unit more - when at home
