I learned this because my current Bosch dishwasher doesn't have a "drying" cycle, the metal pots and ceramics dishes dry from the heat they absorb from the washwater. The plastic doesn't dry at all---but it also remains undamaged, compared to my Frigidaire dishwasher which regularly damaged my plastic storage containers. Several other reviewers report that dishwashing the Sistema lids causes them to distort, and for the blue lock clips to become brittle and break. So, if you want your Sistema containers to last, either hand-wash them, or turn off the "dry" cycle of your dishwasher (or choose a cycle which "air dries"). You'll also save a lot of electricity ($$$). >> While the Sistema containers are nominally "microwave safe", any plastic can be damaged by overheating---especially the tops which can warp. While you can CAREFULLY warm up cold food in a Sistema container in a microwave: ALWAYS take the top off first. DO NOT attempt to cook anything in a Sistema container. >> While the Sistema containers are nominally "freezer safe", they are very brittle when "freezer cold". Do not drop them, and allow them to warm up a little before you try to open them. One of the best containers I have purchased to store grains and beans

I avoid single-use plastic, but since we've spent so much time at home, we bake more than we used to. I needed something to keep muffins and cookies in. This works great. It holds 9 full-sized cupcakes or muffins. The lid works the same way as smaller containers for this brand. Four latches flip and click to stay in place. This would be a better choice for someone who can't manage stretch-tight kind of lids. I haven't tried it with liquid to see if it's completely airtight, but it keeps baking fresh for several days.

This container was actually a little bigger than I expected, and seems to be a better fit for cookies than the one I purchased that said it was a "cookie" container. Either way, I am using both of them for dog treats, as the bags and boxes don't keep them fresh. These snap closed very tightly, and keep everything in them fresh. I can tell easily, as one of the treats my dogs love have apples in them, and as soon as I open the container, I get the fresh scent of apples. Before I purchased this container and just used the resealable bag the treats came in, after a week or so, I no longer smelled the apple scent when I would open the bag. It may be going a bit far for " just a couple of dogs"' but my babies are part of my family, and treats aren't cheap, so it makes sense to keep them fresh for as long qs possible. I would recommend this item for whatever you are plannig to keep fresh. These containers are well worth the money.

I bought these because my kids like to eat muffins in the morning. I usually make 2 dozen muffins on Sunday night for the week and like to keep them out on the counter so they can grab them for breakfast. The boxes seal nicely and are great for this purpose. The only thing I don’t like is that they are just a bit too small for 1 dozen muffins (made in a normal cupcake Pan). It fits 9 muffins nicely - you really have to smash them in to get all 12.

Perfect lunch box. Perfect, perfect, perfect. Fits breakfast h lunch, for early shift: fits two sandwich boxes, two little bags of chips, another 4 oz. container for a side, fun size candy bars, a granola bar, Babybels, plastic utensils, napkins. Perfect shape, easy to carry. Ideal lunch box. Love it. I bought three (I already owned one similar), & I'm packing lunches for my husband & son for work everyday.

This is a great container. Good size, good seal and easy to open and close. I use it for dog food and am in it twice a day, every day; it holds up well.

Perfect for storing cookies on the counter. When the lid is clipped shut it is airtight and the clips seem to be childproof for my grandsons who are five. I can also leave the lid on but not clipped shut; the cookies stay soft and fresh but my husband can grab one on the way through the kitchen. Good size, very high quality.

Perfect kimchi container!

I've been doing a lot of cooking/baking lately, and I quickly realized that I don't own any containers large enough to accommodate the quantity of food I'm making. Bought two of these containers, and am overall happy with my purchase. Just baked some pizza pockets and cheesecake tarts, and am very happy that I can stack everything away in my fridge!
