Palatable, reduces coughing long-term
I make tea with this. Seems to reduce the chest and nasal congestion I get from "stuff" in the air in older buildings. Effect lasts maybe 3-4 hours. Also: I was nervous because other reviews of mullein said "tastes like mud." I put a tablespoon of honey in the cup and it's fine. Not my favorite, but not bad either. Straight green tea upsets my stomach, but this doesn't. So far I'm happy. Edit, August 2022: I've been drinking mullein tea every morning for 3 years. Within the first year it had a profound effect on my chronic and acute coughing. My lungs are irritated by dust in the air (see above), which this helps. Most impressively: for many years, after getting a typical cold in the winter, I would recover from the main symptoms in the usual 7-10 days, but then spend over 2 months coughing my lungs out. Since I started regular mullein tea I have had fewer winter infections and most importantly no extended or severe coughing if I do get a cold. I used to need serious meds like hydrocodone to sleep during coughing spells; no more. Mullein is not going to prevent all infections or cure acute symptoms. But it definitely reduces chronic respiratory inflammation for me. I'm a biologist; I'm not anti-pharmaceutical, nor do I support unproven claims for natural products. This review is not a statistically valid study, and mullein may not do this for you. But it is an honest individual experience, and I think I'm pretty well qualified to discern a significant change in my own health and quality of life.

So far so good!
I have been having issues with allergies making me feel congested lately and I heard of this to try.. Never bought mullein before, but so far I like this! It was a much bigger bag than I expected, and the mullein is very light and fluffy and doesn't appear to be old or too dried out. Opening the bag, I see a bit of greenish tint still and it smells fresh. I made a tea with it right away following the directions on the bag, along with a tsp or so of honey. It was pretty good and neutral tasting so I think I will keep drinking this regularly throughout the winter (which was also why I went ahead and bought a large amount). Good price for this amount and especially being certified organic too!

Superior quality!
Great product of superior quality. It really helps our symptoms when we are ill. I had to rewrite my review, i didn't met guidelines. Probably stated too much in detail on how it helps.

Good quality
I use this product to make a medicinal tea when I'm coming down with a cold (along with ginger root, oregano, and cayenne pepper). By itself, it is a very mild tasting tea - smells like alfalfa. The potency and quality are excellent.

Love Frontier and bulk organic herbs
Was thrilled to find bulk mullein leaf. Although it says it is sifted, and it probably is, there are lots of tiny stems in this package which add to weight but are not beneficial. Still a bargain. I use this to manage chronic bronchitis and asthma. In addition to helping me breathe better (especially clearing morning phlegm), it is a diuretic and has a mild sedative effect which is wonderful when you are struggling to breathe. My adult daughter told me that she just felt happier after drinking a hot cup while fighting a bad upper respiratory effect. Warning: Use a coffee filter, muslin, or some kind of dense fabric to strain when making tea. Mullein leaf has tiny hairs that can irritate skin.

Magical Mucus Annihilator
Mullein leaf is great for clearing out old, stagnant, sticky mucus. I have terrible year-round allergies and I’m always clogged up, especially on the right side of my nose and throat. Even having a septoplasty and turbinate reduction only helped me minimally. During this the first week of drinking mullein leaf tea, I was able to breathe entirely though my nose while walking up 3 flights of stairs and it felt sooo good! I could swallow on both sides without feeling like food was getting trapped in mucus stuck in the back of my throat. And I woke up without a scratchy throat from what I assume to be mucus sitting back there and drying out. I drink it twice a day and I haven’t really had to take my allergy meds since I started drinking my tea. On that same note, it definitely clears me out better than my nasal spray. I did see at least one review mention that the particulate left at the bottom of their tea mug got caught in their throats, and I agree that the last sip can be rough. I found that I only have that issue if I use a diffuser, but I don’t have that issue at all when I use empty teabags I bought from Amazon. The taste is mild to me, and very tolerable. I’m used to drinking tea plain so I don’t add honey, sugar, etc. to it and it tastes just fine. Overall, very happy with this product!
