Great protecting. Material is soft, stretchy and easy to breath through. It’s long enough to cover your face and your neck. This is my third one from GOT. The first one I bought over 2 years ago and use it all the time. It has been washed so many times and still holding up well, barely can tell the difference from the new one. Great buy!

Effectiveness: The UPF in this gaiter works! I have pale skin (Fitzpatrick scale II), and I haven’t gotten burned where this covered my skin. Nine years of commuting 3 hours a day gave me *really bad* sun damage on my pale-skinned neck. I know this won’t reverse sun damage, but at least it’ll prevent or significantly reduce the amount I incur while wearing it. My use case: I got this to protect my neck from the sun because I never give myself enough time to apply or reapply sunscreen before sun exposure commuting to and from work or going outside for teaching PE to my elementary students. I also keep it to pop on while driving because it’s so easy and convenient. Care: ***DO NOT USE SOFTENER IN THE LAUNDRY!!*** I didn’t read the fabric care instructions, but most UPF clothing forbids using softener, starting it reduces the UV-blocking effectiveness. Fit: I have a large head, and this is very comfortable on me. In fact, it’s a little loose worn to just above my nose like a face mask. I’m a woman, 5’7”, 188 lbs. I think I wear size 9 or 9.5 hat, but I don’t remember. I just know my family has really large heads! 😅 So that means it’s stretchy enough to be snug enough to stay up most positions yet not snug enough to bother me. It does not squish my nose down nor my ears back. But it does stay on my head. The only time it is a little bit loose is when I try to wear it slightly above my ears and across the bridge of my nose as shown in one of the pictures. It won’t stay all the way up on me like that. That’s the only reason I’m taking off one star. Then again, if it were to do that, maybe it would be uncomfortable for me. So I love it!! I will likely be ordering more in other colors, AND I do recommend! Warmth: This is not file use to warm you up. It isn’t super hot in the sun, but it does add a bit of warmth, especially when worn over the top of the head. But not enough for winter conditions. That extra warmth in the sun isn’t a plus for me since I’m in menopause and I live in a Mediterranean climate, but if you aren’t in my situation, it might be just fine for you. Thickness: this gaiter is very thin and does not feel like a winter scarf. I don’t really even “feel“ like I’m wearing it. It’s not bothersome enough to make me notice it. I’m aware that I’m wearing it, but it’s not bothersome as far as the fit or being to thick—even when I wear it like a balaclava or like a balaclava but with my face exposed. versatility: I I appreciate the different styles that can be created with this. I find myself where you get like a neck gaiter, balaclava that doesn’t cover the face, or as a hood that extends really far in front of my face in an attempt to reduce sun exposure. I mostly do the last one when I’m driving or teaching PE because I really want to reduce my sun exposure. I will be purchasing a secondary sun scarf to protect my neck farther down since I don’t wear turtlenecks. If I were still riding motorcycles, I would definitely be using this while riding! If I ever get an electric scooter or bike for my now 3-mile commute, I’ll be wearing this underneath my helmet as well. I do recommend this product, ESPECIALLY if you have a large head & find things like plastic headbands too tight. If that’s you, I think this should be perfect for you—cuz that’s me!

Excelente protección contra la radiación solar y buena transpiración. La tensión de las fibras es tal como se ve en la imagen del producto, te marca mucho las comisuras de los labios, la nariz, por lo que si quieres disimular esto debes acomodarlo de una forma especial, o bien, buscar un producto más holgado.
