These brake shoes/pads work on Shimano Dura-Ace, Integra, and 105 brakes. The installation is a snap. You just unscrew one bolt from the cartridge that holds the brake shoes, and the old shoe slides out and the new new one slides in. I did have to remove my front wheel to replace the shoes for the front brake. You'll need a metric allen wrench to screw in the new bolts - they already have lock-tite on them so they won't come loose. You can get a metric allen wrench set on Amazon if you don't already have one (which you should if you're working on a bike these days). When installing these pads I didn't need to make any adjustments to my brakes other than to move the cable adjusting knob to back the original position. If you need something to refer to, Shimano has the mechanical drawings on their website. You probably won't need them, but the drawings do show that these shoes are the ones specified for quite a few of their brakes - including my BR-5700 (Shimano 105) caliper brakes. As far as I can tell, the shoes are exactly like the ones that came with my bike when it was new. The braking seems just as solid as when I bought my bike. I rode more than 5,000 miles and climbed (and descended) more than 400,000 vertical feet on my previous set of brake shoes. And I'm looking forward to having similar, great performance with this new set.

What can you say about shimano replacement parts: always perfect fit and function. Selecting the correct part number is really key to the process. Hard to stop without it…

This brake pad was an upgrade from the original Shimano pad that came with the bike. Very happy with the stopping ability but not surprised. Shimano makes great bike accessories

Make sure you purchase the right size and that the outer shoe is not broken or rusted. Fit is tight so wet it before inserting it.

These fit my Shimano Dura ace brakes perfectly and are reasonably priced. The pads are easy to replace and really makes a big difference in terms of stopping power and noise. My prior brake pads were only mildly worn but after 3-4 years they tend to get hard and more brittle and on applying my brakes would have a soft sqeak. Since replacement my brakes are super quiet and stop much better than before.

Haven't had a chance to test these in the wet but on a dry day...I nearly went over the handle bars! I had some Forte branded pads from Performance Bicycle before these on my bike and they stopped well enough but never with much authority. After a near accident with a car, I decided that it was time to upgrade and these R55C3 compound pads had the right mix of reviews and price for me to take the jump. Install was simple enough, remove the wheels, remove the single screw holding the pads and slide them out. Do the reverse to install and go on a test ride. Just be gentle on the brakes...these grip! I haven't had any issues yet, no noise or excessive wear. Definitely will recommend these to people who want awesome stopping power.
