Best rice i've ever had
Very simply, this is the best rice i've ever eaten. I have a large container of kimchi that i've seen.Consider just tossing in the garbage because it has a bitter taste. When I pair it with this rice, it automatically becomes delicious and every time I eat their rice. I have the kimchi also. The rice is just so good that it brings out the true flavor of the kimchi. It cooks up very easily and has a soft chewiness to it. That's just wonderful. And like I said, the flavor is amazing

Asian approved!!
Yep, I'm Asian. The average person would think, rice is rice, right? Not so! I've been on a mission for incredible rice. This just might be the best rice on the planet. Upon opening the nitrogen packed bag, I noticed a lovely truffle aroma from the rice. I had to try it right away and I was blown away at the texture and consistency of the rice. The cooked rice is unlike any I've ever tried. The rice does not glob together in one glutinous mass, but each grain is consistently perfect. Not a single broken grain. I would describe the texture of the rice as slightly firm, with a little bit of give. Just slightly "al dente" - like the perfect fresh pasta, you bite into it and it has just the right amount of firmness. I imagine this would be the most amazing rice for sushi, though I have not tried yet. I honestly could eat the rice all by itself with a little fish sauce and furikake. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but it's a small price to elevate your home culinary experience several notches. Do follow the instructions and rinse, rinse, rinse and when your cooker chimes that it's done, switch it off and let sit for 10 minutes. Open and fluff and leave for another 10 minutes... the process is actually quite important, I'm not just being pedantic, it's on the bag. Tamaki Gold is now my first choice for rice, despite the price. Life is too short to deny yourself little pleasures such as this! I put too much effort into my food to have "average" rice. I happily pay more for the best, and this is it.

Best sushi rice
This is the only sushi rice i will buy!! And i use it for everything as a white rice. Even though it is slightly more expensive, it is so worth it to me for the taste! My partner who sometimes has issues digesting other white rices sees no stomach issues here. We have used this for homemade sushi, crispy rice, fried rice, burrito bowls, you name it we’ve done it and we love it. The grains have great quality

Great quality sushi rice!
Great quality sushi rice, tried several store shelf ones, this is the best. Wash 3 times to remove the starch, cook on instant pot on rise setting, 10 min, 1.5 cups of rise + 1.5 cups of water.

This rice seems better for sushi than for "raisu" dishes
Short grain Japanese strain of California rice. It really is short grain, so suitable for sushi where you want a tighter grain for packing into your wrap or ball of rice. For sushi, it was fine, cooked up a bit sticky at regular amounts of water in my Zojirushi Micom rice cooker. It took the usual amount of time to cook properly. The rice was kind of powdery; took seven washes to get clear water run-off. I didn't notice too many broken grains. I normally use Tamanashiki which I feel is better for daily rice dishes (the bowl of rice that goes with your kare-raisu or katsudon or salmon teriyaki.) Caution in ordering the rice: it comes tightly packed in a box and if you slit open the tape, you can possibly slit open the bag of rice, too. I did slit the bag as I opened the box, but it wasn't a problem as I was going to dump it in my rice container anyway. I probably won't order this again, as I normally don't make a lot of sushi and Tamaki rice seems to function best for sushi, onigiri and musubi, but not for a big dollop of "raisu" for your loco moco or what-have-you.
