Convenient and Effective Stress Relief for Cats
My cats had been very stressed due to outdoor cats in the area, and my veterinarian recommended the Feliway spray. I used the spray version for quite a while and found that it helped, but the bottle ran out quickly and it was difficult to use the last of the product. Because of that, I decided to try the plug-in diffuser version instead. After reading some reviews, I was concerned about reports of the plugin getting too hot. When I first plugged it in, there was a noticeable scent for the first several hours. It was not unpleasant and completely dissipated by the next morning. Since then, it has been working very well. My cats do seem noticeably calmer and they are fighting far less than they were before. The diffuser does emit some warmth, but it is not hot to the touch. It also includes a cap for safe storage when unplugged, which I appreciate. Overall, this plug-in option is far more convenient and longer lasting than the spray. I would recommend this diffuser to anyone looking for an easy and effective way to help reduce stress in their cats.

A week in and it’s made a difference
Ok so, I’m not one to usually leave reviews. That being said, this diffuser has actually made a big difference. We’ve had our cat Banana for 9 years. Just before we could get her fixed when we first got her she unfortunately got out one time, and as you can guess, she ended up having a litter of kittens. She’s never been a motherly kitty, she was over her own kittens pretty quick and about as soon as they were old enough to start eating cat food she was quite literally finding the bag of kitten food and dragging it to them for them to eat rather than letting them nurse anymore. Lol Anyway, since then all together we’ve had a total of four cats (all spayed and neutered) and that’s been the status quo for the past 8 years. The day after this past Christmas we had a 12 week old kitten in our front yard that was playing chicken with cars and needless to say, after checking with all of our neighbors to see if they were missing this sweet baby and then asking all of our friends if they were interested taking her, it seemed that the cat distribution system had chosen us. We kept her separated for the first two weeks to get her checked out by the vet and get her acclimated and then slowly introduced her to our crew. It took a bit but they started warming up to her and now two months later it’s like she’s always been apart of the family. Except for Banana. She’s always been grouchy and would growl and hiss at all of our other cats if they got near her anyway but they would mostly just leave her alone. But now that we’ve added our new baby to the mix it seems that there’s been a shift in the dynamic and our three other older cats have started ganging up on her pretty bad. We actually had to completely separate her from all the others and set her up in a room by herself. After two weeks of doing some research, I landed on the Feliway mulitcat diffuser. We plugged it in and slowly started letting her back out and join the group. It’s been almost a week now and the difference is huge. She still doesn’t want any of the cats to clean or cuddle her, but she won’t immediately start growling and hissing if our other cats come within eyesight now. And the others aren’t guarding the food, water, or catboxes (we have enough bowls and catboxes for each of them so resources aren’t an issue) or chasing, or even staring anymore. There’s finally peace back in our house and I couldn’t be more grateful! Another few notes touching on some other reviews I’ve seen: •My husband and I did notice it the first couple days - we could more so kind of taste it in the back of our throats rather than smell it and it did give me a slight headache the first day but no problems since then •I’ve seen several comments saying the diffuser was getting too hot - it does get a little warm but so far it hasn’t been so hot that it’s concerned me. I would suggest making sure there’s nothing plugged in to the same outlet and making sure your outlet can handle it. •And the last thing I’ve seen is that there were a couple people saying it affected there dog negatively - So far we haven’t noticed any difference with our dog thankfully So there’s my long winded honest review in case it helps anyone! (For reference here’s a recent picture of our newfound peace - Banana is the middle gray cat)

unwanted bright light on newer model, but effective product
Purchased 2 of these a couple years ago for my two adopted cats. They've been extremely helpful in helping them acclimate to one another initially and subsequently to get along together better overall. Giving one less star than perfect, because the replacement I recently ordered has a light on the front with no way of turning it off. I didn't see anything about this in the product description. I'm really hoping the other one doesn't need replacing, because I really do not love the light feature. Manufacturer - please consider reverting back to previous model. Other than this, I highly recommend this product!

All the bad reviews are accurate
So first, the overheating problem. I thought maybe people just weren't plugging it in correctly and that's why it would get too hot. I did what another review suggested by buying a surge protector and plugging it into that. It still gets way too hot for my liking. So I only could keep it going for about 8 - 12 hours a day. Basically during daylight hours, when I was home. I thought the level of hot it got would be okay. It seemed to get as hot as my router does for my wifi. Which is hotter than any router I've ever had, but it's never gotten hotter than it does, nor caused any issues. So I thought maybe this would be similar. But after about 3 days of use, you can see the inside plastic starting to warp from how hot it gets. That's not safe at all! So imagine continued use, 24/7 how hot and melted that plastic will get and cause huge issues. So second, I did not have issues with it dripping like others complained about. I made sure it was completely upright and nothing under it plugged in. I made sure to screw the container in tightly and not tip the system in any way. I made sure to handle it always upright to avoid spilling. So thirdly, if the product works best leaving it on 24/7 and it can't be left plugged in due to potential over heating, then there's no point to buy this product until they do something productive about the problem so many are complaining about. I noticed no changes in behaviors of my stray momma cat I'm trying to calm down. She's flipping out to all the changes of being inside my home. I have 2 senior cats I'm keeping separate in the rest of the house, and keeping the momma in my living room. But they can see each other under the door. Not only is that flipping her out but I was told that neighbors are calling the humane officers on strays and that if I didn't want my cat taken away I should have her rabies tags on her when she's out. Welp, I haven't gotten that far into helping her. So she has no tags and can't until she's done feeding the babies. Which are only a month old. So point being, I've only been able to let her out at night. Which she saw a racoon and is now flipping out about being inside all the time, but also about going outside now. I really wanted this to work, but it's basically snake oil. I even tried rubbing it on my hands to let her sniff it since they claim it's like the pheromones momma cats put out. I thought maybe she'd calm and think I'm her momma cat. But it's not helping. She's still sitting meowing a bunch and panting like she's hyperventilating. I'm hoping once she gets spayed that will help calm her some. But clearly this stuff isn't going to help me out. Be warned, they don't allow returns on this. I figure the reason is, they know they are selling a defective product. So unless you have money to waste, just don't buy this. Believe the bad reviews and try something else if you can.

Excelente producto, tengo 7 gatitos y recibí otros dos ya adultos, la acomplacion sería difícil pero leí los comentarios y lo pedí para que fuera menos stress, funcionó muy bien. Los 9 un poco más tranquilos.

I've had the same experience as the previous reviewer. I've tried this twice and the pluggy melted off both times. The first time the fumes from the burnt pluggy were very intense and I'd left the cats alone in a closed room while I answered the door. I must've been away for like two minutes and when I came back I could smell the burning outside the door. When I opened the door the whole room was filled with smoke and my poor kitties dashed out of the room. I was horrified I thought the room was on fire. The second time I tried it in a different house in a different city. Thought i'd give it another try cos the previous melt could've happened because of faulty wiring or something in my previous apartment. The same thing happened again - it melted and burned. This time I was vigilant though after the previous experience and switched the thing off the moment I started smelling burnt plastic. Even in such a short while part of the refill got burnt as well and is unusable. I see SO many reviews speak about this burning issue on amazon.com. I wonder why the company hasn't done anything about it.

It definitely works for our two unrelated tom cats. I can always tell it's run out because there's a pile of fur on the floor when I come from a long day out!

Plug diffuser is no good for KSA 3-pin (UK compatible) plugs. Cannot use the product and seller does not accept refunds.
