First 3D printer
Never had a 3D printer before, so if you're looking for a super technical review then I won't be able to help. But... For a first time user, it really wasn't bad to build, about 10 hours in total. Instructions are good. Tools that come with it are not. Having the proper tools would have saved me a ton of time. Then after initial calibration... It's basically been running non-stop (Literally). Running just fine with PLA (Haven't tested other materials yet), overall no complaints. A few failed prints but I'm willing to bet that's more me not knowing the limits of a 3D printer than actual faults of the printer (Who knew you couldn't print plastic on thin air and expect it to stay there?) The display is... Dated to say the least (Looks like a LCD display from 20 years ago) but that's not a big deal. And considering that's the biggest gripe I have with the printer... Very happy with it overall. Although the display is dated, Prusa's slicing software is not... And even for a complete novice like me it's really easy to use and tweak. And the auto bed leveling is so nice, did one calibration when setting it up and it's been printing fine without any tweaking ever since. And the best part is... Down the line if part of the printer breaks... Most of it you can just 3D print, and Prusa will give you the gcode to do it. So you can literally have spares of every (plastic) part just sitting around in a box somewhere and it'd cost you next to nothing. And most of it... Is plastic.

This Printer Is Reliable
First I bought an Ender 3 V2 and that worked OK for about 2 weeks as long as I managed to get that first layer to stick. Then I learned about flexible Filaments and wanted to try those, so I returned the Ender 3 V2 for the Ender 3 S1 Pro. The S1 Pro worked well for about a week then at around 3 to 4 hours into a print the hotend would smack into the left rear corner of the print, knocking it from the bed. Spent a week trying to figure out the issue then sent that back defective. Finally decided to just buy this Prusa. The price was hard pill to swallow, but this thing just works. The bed sheet it comes with is awesome for small detail PLA prints and got a textured sheet for PETG. First I printed all of this printers PETG printed parts for backup, a dragon with moving joints, a …………and on and on... The think is been going almost non stop since I got it. It only failed do to my mistake in the slicer were something needed a brim or support.

Great Printer
I took my time and spent 12 hours assembling the printer. While waiting for it to arrive, I downloaded the manual and read it thoroughly so I had an idea of what to expect. I also watched a few YouTube videos showing the complete assembly that were particularly useful. I had one question for Prusa that I submitted by email and received a clear and concise reply within one hour. It all worked flawlessly after assembly, but final tuning of the print head Z offset (Live Z) had me confused. However, I posted my questions to the Prusa Community forum and they were extremely friendly and helpful and had me printing flawless models in no time. Highly recommend this printer. The print quality met and exceeded my expectations. The company and community support is standard setting.

Still worth the price despite the seller's markup
The Prusa i3 MK3S+ is an excellent printer, and probably the best I've ever used. Aside from assembly, I've barely have to do anything to it to get great quality prints. The only calibration changes I've had to make thus far since assembling the device a few months ago was to adjust the z-axis due to changing out the sheet from the factory smooth steel to a satin sheet. It's the closest I've come to a hassle-free 3D printing experience and is a huge step up from my Ender 3. Since this is a kit, you are required to assemble the entire printer from scratch. This cannot be understated; you will need to assemble and tune every single piece of this printer yourself. I'm a fairly decent DIY-er and have followed complex assembly instructions in the past; this kit still took me about 8 hours to completely assemble and calibrate. Thankfully, the provided instruction manual is extremely well written and provides detailed instructions, photographs, and tips as you go along. As long as you follow the manual, you won't have any difficulty trying to decipher the steps, it will just take time to get through all 100+ pages of the manual. All that being said, You can purchase fully assembled printers from Prusa3D directly, but I'll talk about that more later. Their PrusaSlicer software pairs really well with this printer; doubly so if you use Prusa3D's in-house filament (dubbed "Prusament") as the profiles provided in PrusaSlicer for their materials are really well tuned. I've been using their PLA and PETG and haven't had to make any significant print changes in the slicer to get my prints to come out clean. I can't stress enough how plug-n'-play it all is once you get it setup. The hardware is also very moddable; there's a huge community surrounding this printer so there are lots of upgrades available (though it really doesn't need much). So far, all I've really done is connect a Raspberry Pi Zero W with PrusaConnect to add networking features to the printer, which has done great so far. I do have one gripe with this product, but it's more because of this specific seller on Amazon and less with the product itself. As of the time of writing, if you order this kit from Prusa3D directly, you'll have a 2-3 week lead time before your kit arrives, but it'll only cost you $800. If you order through Amazon, the seller has applied a markup of $150 to that. When I ordered the product, my estimated time was 3-4 days, but as of right now the estimated time is about the same as that on Prusa3D's site, so I'd strongly suggest purchasing it that way instead of through this seller. Additionally, you can also purchase the printer fully-assembled from Prusa3D with about the same lead time for $1100, so you'll want to do the math to determine if the 8+ hours assembling the device is worth the $300 price difference. Overall, this is an incredible printer. Even though I paid a markup to get it sooner, I'm extremely happy with the final result. For first-time buyers of the i3 MK3S+, I would suggest getting the kit version of this if you have the time to set aside, since it will teach you every little detail of your machine and will make future troubleshooting much easier for you. For existing owners looking to start a print farm or just have more than one printer, I would probably suggest getting the fully-assembled printer from Prusa3D directly to save time. Pros: - Extremely consistent, high quality prints - Minimal tinkering required once assembled - Good upgradeability options - Excellent technical documentation and support - Trouble-free slicing and printing if using PrusaSlicer + Prusament - Easily replaceable parts from Prusa3D's site - The kit version will force you to become intimately familiar with every component of the printer, making future troubleshooting easier Cons: - Kit takes an extremely long time to assemble (8+ hours) - Seller markup is not worth it since the estimated delivery date is almost the same as the lead times on Prusa's own site.
