Bought this for my husband, no problem programming it with code, sturdy and secure if bolted down. Large enough, holds a lot. He loves it and for the price it's hard to beat. Inexpensive peace of mind. Is it a safe? Not really but it'll stop anyone who's looking to grab and go. It's not fireproof but he uses the waterproof, fireproof bags for those items. We're very pleased with this purchase.

This is an amended review. After having this safe for some time I must admit it was a very good product and what I consider a great home safe. It is/was strong and a good vehicle for whatever you deem important enough to be safeguarded. The lock always performed with both the access code and safety key when needed. The room inside its compartment is ample, while not too much of an inconvenience wherever it is stored. The reason I'm citing that it WAS strong is because, unfortunately due to some personal business the combination to the safe was misplaced, along with the key. As I needed to get it opened rather hastily there was no other option UT to have it broken opened. Here's where I can really vouch for its durability and protection rating. It was nearly impossible for this to be done..and, fortunately for us, turned out to be a rather comical situation. Needless to say that I would and intend to repurchase it for our home needs.

Light weight and very easy to use. It was so simple to set a pass key. I like that it comes with two sets of keys in case I forget my pass key. It fits very neatly in the bottom of a closet or shelf doesn't take up a lot of space.

For 109.99 this is a really nice safe, good value for the money. Please : this is not the strongest safe out there and weighs only 41 pounds, not the 49 pounds in the description. However what I like about this safe is you can bolt mount on a table or floor, also you can bolt it to the wall as it has 4 pre-drilled holes in the back also. This isn't a high security safe but will keep house guests from snooping in your private paperwork, tax returns and some low value jewlery. The highest security is a safe deposit box, but for around the house to store a gun or just keep out spying eyes. You should definitely bolt this down. I bolted it to a small 2 drawer file cabinet so you can't easily walk off with this 41 pound safe. It has lots of room and the digital keypad is easy to set. It has a keyway also that is hidden behind a plastic tab in case your batteries die and you need to open. What I like about the hidden keyway is nobody knows it can be opened with the 2 supplied keys. I keep the keys hidden. For low security paperwork or low end jewelery or a gun this safe will keep nosy guests out. I recomend

This safe is the perfect size for large lock boxes, can hold 81/2 x 11 documents without folding and an upper shelf for a cash box or jewelry. It isn't fireproof but a good buy for the price. It locks easily and unlocks with your own 4 digit code. If you forget the code it does come with a key. I bolted mine to the cement floor and the wall behind it. It has a 4 battery (double A's) compartment inside the door for the electronic lock mechanism. I just wish the beeps heard when you press the code buttons were not so loud.

The best keeps my stuff safe

My son has this in his apartment at college and it's just big enough to store all his valuables (laptop, tablet, wallet, keys, etc.) and heavy enough to keep his roommates or visitors from picking it up and running off with it. Solid design, easy access with the code (and a backup key) and so far it's been a nice addition to the back of his closet. Underneath a towel, it looks just like another box below his shirt rack and no one knows the better.

Excellent, inexpensive safe. Sturdier than I expected. Perfect for keeping my passport and other important papers secure. I suppose I could probably break into it if I tried, but the two security bolts seem pretty strong. Very easy to set the code. Note, the reset button is inside the safe in the battery compartment. You get what you pay for with this, but for $100.00 or so, it is a good value.

I looked at a lot of safes before buying this one. So many seemed too small but this one has room for plenty. It comes with pre-drilled holes to bolt it to the wall or the floor to secure it and the hardware is included. It was easy to set up the digital code and the 2 back up keys give peace of mind. The top and bottom are separated with a shelf, giving lots of space. The safe is very sturdily built. I feel I made a very good choice and recommend this Stalwart Digital Electronic safe.

This is such a stable product. Just have it hidden in house (not secured) and is keeping valuables safe and secure. Easy setup, light weight and offers security for me.
