Keen Men's Owyhee Sandal

Actually I've never had much success with sandals, but with the Keen Owyhee I've found sandals that are a perfect combination of comfort, fit, durability, style, and multipurpose wear. First, for me these ran true to size; the fit was better than most sandals, with the fit feeling a bit more like that of a running shoe; I really like the way the heal is enclosed and is snugged by the quick-lace system; there is no break-in time required or rubbing of the shoe or heel. As with most sandals the venting is incredible and this is a cool shoe with a barefoot feel; the soles offer both comfort and cushioning, so much so that I've found myself wearing the Keen's often, even when its not hot, and substituting for my running shoes. I also like the lacing system, which make it easy to put the sandals on and off, but still snug enough. The color combo is also to my liking -- and really goes well with many forms of casual outfits. I was initially put-off a bit by the high price of Keen's, but now feel they are a solid value and worth the price. Shipping was typically prompt! My wife has a similar model of women's Keens, and actually bought a second identical pair in a different color, and I may just do the same!

This is my first pair of Keen shoes after owning a pair of their boots for about a year. Based on my experience with their boots and the rave reviews I had heard, I decided to give them a try. First of all, they are very lightweight and are perfect for everyday wear in the summertime. Especially when it's hot outside, they allow your feet to "breath." The adjustable strap allows you to tighten or loosen the shoe to fit your taste, unlike flip flops or sandals. Finally, you don't have to worry about them getting wet because the straps dry very quickly and the soles are made of a rubberlike material that will not get waterlogged.I only have a couple small issues with the shoes. The elastic band, meant to tighten the shoes, will sometimes flop around when you're walking and become quite annoying until you neatly tuck it back inside the shoe. Also, sometimes I notice that the back of the shoe, where the top of your heel meets the fabric, will rub against your foot. It hasn't been enough to cause a blister, but it can be uncomfortable at times. I'm unsure what causes it, because it doesn't always happen and is certainly isn't a deal breaker for me if I wanted to get another pair of Keens.

i have been wearing keens for years. have plantar fasciitis. need to place orthotic in shoes. these are the best. used to wear the H2 or the venice, but the open style strap back allowed the orthotic to slip -- annoying. this style accommodates and solves the problem. in the winter the mackenzie is my shoe choice that also has the full back now the bad news. i wear a women's 12. KEENS RUN SMALL. i order men's 10, so the color selection is BLAH i wish they would make women's 12. i have asked them more than once. they are taking it under advisement. also if the the shoe comes with static lace system and you prefer bungee, they will send you replacement laces gratis. these are the only shoes that fit, are comfortable, durable and worth every penny. you can hike, bike, walk thru water without problems. highly recommend.

The Positive: Close toe and closed heal which makes it possible to wear a sandal shoe to work.The Native: Could offer more support. 10.5 doesn't fit! I had to step up to size 11. Feels a bit narrow could be a little more wider.Shoes start to stink just after wearing them a few times. I have a pair of Keen Newport sandals and can wear them many timeswith out any odor. Over all its a good shoe just has to many nativities at this time for me to give it a 4 or 5 star.

I got these to replace my keen newport h2s and I love them. I loved the Newports by they, but I had some issues with getting small things stuck under my heel that I couldn't get out without taking the shoes off. I got these because they had the closed heel section and it does make a difference. I get far fewer foreign objects stuck in my shoes now, but I do still get some. Also, These are worse in sand because ones it gets in it can't get out in the back..... that was less of an issues on the keen newport h2s. If I had to pick between the two... I would chose these. I'm not in sand that much, so the sand thing is not really an issue for me, but if you are in sand a lot you might want the keen newport h2s instead. I used these for a vacation to Costa Rica to hike though the jungle and they were perfect. You will get wet at some point if you go the Costa Rica, and these are nice because if you get wet, you don't care, they are still comfortable and will dry out fast. Only bad part is they don't keep ants out, and there are lots there...

These are 1.5 years old with little wear (on the heels) and the stitching is coming apart. This has also happened on a different pair my wife bought < 2 years ago. I reached out to Keen regarding this pair and another pair also coming apart. To be blunt, their response was less than underwhelming. Because of this, I will look to other brands in the future.

I've been reluctant to purchase Keen sandals mainly due to the high price. Once Amazon had a sale, I decided to give it a go. They sure are better than the $40 pair you'd get at a department store.When I first received them, the right sandal felt weird under the arch, almost as if it was too high. Now, maybe my feet are that much different, but I doubt it. I figured if I wear them around enough, they'd break in. Well... after a bit of soreness from rubbing for a couple days, they are now broken in and feel great.I've also noticed with this style of sandal, there isn't a lot of air circulation so your feet will sweat a bit, especially when sitting it seems.What I really do like about these is the comfort, durability, and feel. I'd certainly buy these again.

Schuh hat gute Qualität, jedoch ist mir die Einstiegsöffnung zu eng und ich komme mit meiner hohen Fußspanne schlecht rein.

Belles, agréables, confortables, un bon compromis entre les chaussures de marche et les nus pieds sur les chemins ou sur le bitume.

A replacement for same shoes which wore out after 5 years of heavy use. Great fit, can wear all year - even in winter - and they can be washed in a washing machine. The only shoes you will ever need (almost).

Ottimo prodotto anche se le stringhe non stringono del tutto sulla parte anteriore quindi meglio per chi ha la pianta larga. Comumque consigliate.
