Hexagonal Crimping Tool----HSC8 6-6A

Got these to do rewiring on my old '80 Suzuki and am well impressed with the tool. Chose this hex design crimper over the more commonly found 4 sided ones and must say the crimps work very well. One of those rare occasions where a quality tool just works and dudn cost an arm and a leg.

Does what it should do. Completed one of my RV projects successfully! It will receive infrequent use and would expect it to last for years.

Love the design but its compressive strength leaves a lot to be desired. I am not comparing it with a sledge hammer swaging or hydraulic tool for 0-0 or 350 mcm, either. Uninsulated #16 or smaller with medium thin U shaped metal sleeves like .062" Molex or TE Connectivity pins are more its weight. This will not replace a Channel lock blue handled or similar that can squash a Blue, Yellow, or Red sleeved crimp fitting.

Provides a round crimp for wire to be inserted into a round hole. Many other crimpers create square shapes that may or may not meet the "round pegs in a round holes". Very easy to use and appears to be well-made.

I purchased this item for crimping ferrules on leaders I make for fishing. I couldn't be happier with how well it works.

The actuation is smooth and the crimp is solid. Everything you need when your terminating small stranded wires. Knipex quality at a fraction of the price.

Good product, only I wish you could use bigger ferrules with them but other than that I have no complaints.
