ShowerShroom Ultra Revolutionary Shower Hair Catcher Drain Protector, Stainless Steel

The shower in our new house suffered from chronic blockages; every time I cleared it, it would only last a couple of showers before backing up again. After putting some strong drain cleaner down once again, I installed this ShowerShroom, and the drain has flowed perfectly ever since. The physical fit is exactly right for our shower drain. Functionally, it is brilliant at catching every single hair, wrapping them neatly around the center cylinder. This makes them incredibly easy to wipe off and dispose of without having to dig into the drain itself. A surprising bonus is how much nicer the shower looks. It completely covers the gross, gaping drain hole, making the floor look much cleaner and removing the worry of accidentally stepping right into the open pipe. While this is definitely one of the pricier options on the market for a hair catcher, the manufacturing quality is solid, and it feels built to last. It does exactly what it promises and is an absolute necessity for keeping the plumbing clear.

This is hands down one of the best shower drain solutions I’ve tried. The ShowerShroom Ultra fits perfectly in the drain, stays in place, and catches absolutely everything — hair, bits of fluff, you name it. It’s made shower clean-up so much easier and has completely stopped the usual build-up that used to lead to slow drainage. It did take a little while to arrive, but honestly, it was worth the wait. Once it’s in, it just quietly does its job with no fuss. Easy to remove and clean, and far better than those flimsy covers that claim to catch hair but don’t. Can’t fault it. It’s simple, solid, and really works. Highly recommend to anyone tired of dealing with blocked drains.

In my opinion this is an amazing product and after having it in place for a month or so I can happily advise that I have not had to unclog our shower drain and it looks as clean as the day I put the Showeshroom in !! I would normally do this monthly as the water would start to take long and longer to drain. It is simple to install, I had to remove the old drain cover leaving nothing there and simply pop this over the drain. It sits loosely over but doesn't move much at all. That was it and fingers crossed no issues !.Highly recommended!!

Very neat and compact, easy to fit, very flat so doesn't get in the way, it does work and does trap haiir, it's easy to remove and clean.

This was ideal for me. The drain cover in my shower broke and I ordered a replacement from Amazon. Despite carefully measuring the broken one and matching up the measurements online the one I ordered sat quite proud of the shower floor so I returned it and decided to try a ShowerShroom instead. So glad I did! This lies very flat on the floor and looks great. I was worried it might move around as it seemed quite a bit smaller than the plug hole but it is very stable. It collects hair well and is very easy to clean.

Very easy to use and clean and effectively catches hair

I was skeptical about this device, but after using it for a few weeks, I'm a convert. It securely captures 2x - 3x more hair than my original, gridded drain cover, yet it doesn't restrict water flow to the drain. And it lies so flush to the floor that it hasn't posed a tripping hazard, or become unseated when I've accidentally nudged it. (I had been concerned that, since it doesn't screw into place like my original cover, it would be easily knocked out of place, but it's so low-profile and because it has the well for the mushroom that keeps it in the drain, it doesn't.) Very easy to clean out the hair - just lift the little mushroom. I used to collect the hair from my original cover after every shower, and initially did that with this device, but now can do it just 1x/wk. (I could wait even longer, but choose to keep on a regular schedule 😬)

This item does its job, just as described: it fits perfectly and captures all hair in a swirl around the plastic center, while the water has plenty of holes to run away. I'm 100% satisfied (am even considering to buy a spare one).
