Very nice, very strong magnet. I suggest and recommend these. And they come in threes so you can have multiple ones for whatever occasion. I use one to stash some keys outside of my home and they stay magnetized to whatever you put them on just avoid areas prone water sleet and snow.

At first glance, the product is as underwhelming as expected - a 4 cent plastic box with a cheap and arrestingly difficult-to-maneuver sliding top. Fine. My hopes weren’t Christmas-morning high to begin with. And then came the “magnet” test. The magnetic tape or foil or magnetic ink or whatever is on the back is pathetic. You can find more adhesive substances on a public bus handrest. And I don’t mean that in a good way. Will it slide down the fridge? Not if it’s empty and you don’t stare at it all funny-like for long - and your refrigerator door is made out of aged cast-iron. But all bets are off if you pop as much as a green stamp in this shoddy trap and try to reattach it! Well, would you dare “stick” it to the underside of a vehicle? Haha. Ha. ha. hmmm. No chance! Not yours anyway. Unless you are a criminal mastermind trying to leave breadcrumb hints for the authorities as a challenge to catch you. In fact, this free-wheelin, neither positively nor negatively charged trinket would pop off to freedom, slipping the surly bonds of steel with the first closing of the car door. Or a slight adjustment of the rear view mirror. Heck, the next time you approach a speed hump in a 15 mph school zone, keep your eyes peeled. The gutters are probably littered with these things long-before jarred loose - if they weren’t already dislodged by a gentle breeze, an autumn poem or a furtive glance. If you really want to stick a key somewhere, use gorilla tape. And by use gorilla tape, I mean, take a piece of tape, stick the key to it and stick the tape and key to wherever you want it to stick to. Boom! Problem solved. Then you take this worthless piece of junk, fill it with wet sand, find a calm pond, and with a crisp, side arm flick of the wrist see how many times you can skip it before it sinks into oblivion, where it belongs. In which case, you will have a magnificently effective keyholder, and most of a roll of gorilla tape to use for some of your more colorful pursuits. But let’s not blame the product. Like me, you probably didn’t read any reviews before immediately and incessantly mashing the Buy now! button in a swirling fit of life-is-too-easy commercialistic ecstasy! C’mon - admit it - you didn’t get further than nine words into the product description either. I’m with you. 1-2-3. “Look at picture. Read four words of headline. Slam buy button!” If we had read the reviews, we would have avoided this product like a Southwest middle seat to Houston in August. So enjoy your product as you lounge next to me on this bench of apathy and mild fleeting regret. Then tomorrow huck this junk into that filthy, over-stuffed drawer in the kitchen with all that other crap that you never seem to throw out which always gets stuck on opening or closing because something is jamming up the sliders. And why is there an unwrapped mint in that drawer stuck to a rubber band, a tarnished 1981 penny and the cap to a tube of something discard in the 90s. Why? Because this is America! Ah America. Nice size for what I needed but I just wish the magnet was a bit stronger.

Good product. These will work in a protected area. Not meant to be outside/exposed. magnet fell off one. Cover cracked on another. Would buy if hiding in enclosed area.

I bought this to store the key to my overhead cabinet at work. The magnet is nice and strong for that purpose, and it clings nicely to the place where I need to stick it. I could see how some may question to durability of the box itself, because it is a plastic material. But if you're using it for something simple, it will more than suit your needs. Also, it was great to get a three pack even though I only needed one. If I had one wish for something to change, I would get rid of the graphics on the front of the box and just leave it plain. It's much more inconspicuous that way. Without any graphics advertising what it is, it would be hard to tell what it actually is. Put the graphics on the inside of teh box, of anything.

They fit your keys

Magnet would barely hold weight of box and a key on the bottom side of a steel electrical box. I wouldn't trust this on a car with the shock and vibration. I don't get it. Why not spend an extra 5 cents and use a decent magnet. Plus no feature or indent to use to open the box.

Magnets are quite strong. Lid closes securely, but isn’t too hard to open.
