See title , packaging was good, use is for honeing palm carving tools , quality of stone and angles are good does not initially,dry ,seem like 1000 grit but may be suitable to dress a damaged edge.

I haven't used it yet. It is of substantial weight and appears well made and durable.

works with most of my carving tools, but not perfect fit to the various angles. You have to pick and choose. But works very well with flat blades due to the curved leather on one side and flat leather bed on the other side. Not perfect but good for the price.

This sharpening stone is well suited for small carving tools. Easy to use and produces a sharp edge in a few minutes. Good value for the money

If you're looking for stone cutouts that will fit your carving knives perfectly, look elsewhere. You have to be a little creative to use this, especially for V-knives and curved knives. I found no curves or Vs on the stone that fit my knives perfectly, so have to be careful to ensure that the entire cutting surface is being sharpened. It can be done - you just have to search for a surface that partially matches your knife, and you may have to use more than one surface for a single blade. The stone works however, and I'm glad to have it, since consistently sharpening these knives on flat stones is virtually impossible. I'd say the grit on this one is a little on the coarse side for smaller blades, but I couldn't find anything similar with a finer grit.
