Lovely shelves looks great

Bought the 4 tier to replace 3 floating enclosed shelves i had already up. all the items off all 3 fitted on one of these shelves. Very very solid heavy item. The shelves looks awesome and because of the elbows at the bottom you can hang a towel off them each elbow requires 4 screws. Unlike most amazon items the screws were plenty strong enough even when driven into a stud although you should do a pilot hole i didnt as it was 7am so i used a 6mm drill bit in a pair of mole grips for most of the holes. The instructions say 6mm however the white plugs supplied were way too big so i used red rawl plugs which i prefer. It was very large however it looks really nice and holds a ton of stuff or maybe some small storage boxes for loose items To build: i stood a shelf on its long edge on the floor and held the elbow in place while screwing the pipe in through the shelf. As i added each shelf i held the end elbow as i twisted the pipes. the only thing to note it the 2x pipe are installed on the last shelf. For everyone struggling to get the elbows tight yet facing forward come on seriously? the pipes are screwed to elbows top and bottom. once installed on the wall the elbows can never unscrew from the pipes because they are fixed to the wall. even if the elbows didn't have threads and just pushed on the middle could never come out. when you first start try to make the first elbows tight and facing the forward when you do the last elbows if you cant get them tight and facing forward it's not a problem for them to be a little loose. when installing the screw plates consider the holes must be either side of the elbow or you won't get the screws in To hang solo: Mine was going above a rad i checked the rad was level with a spirit level. i then placed large books on top of the rad and placed the shelves onto the books at the required height. i rechecked the shelves to see they were level and marked the holes. I lifted the shelves down made the holes installed red rawl plugs and the put the shelves up and its solid. To hang with help: I would advise trying to prop the selves up at the ideal height on something and having someone hold them against the wall add a spirit level to check and mark the holes. if someone is trying to hold all the weight while you mark it might be tricky to do.

Well built not flimsy. Found it easy to put on wall. You will need to drill holes into brick.

These shelves are amazing. I got the four layered shelf and they come nicely labelled by numbers with easy to follow instructions. The only possible tricky part is aligning the top and bottom mounts so that they all point towards the wall. However, there's enough give in the twisting mechanism to put it together to make this relatively straighforward. It takes around 20 minutes to construct to mount. Ideally have two people involved so one can hold up the shelf whilst the other aligns the mounting points, although I did manage it alone, but this probably added on 20 minutes. The shelf itself is suitably weighty and looks good once up.

easy to put together. i didn’t use the screws provided as o have plasterboard so if you too have board you will need worms or the clamp screws.
