Remarkable sound quality given the product size. I tried several and found this to perform the best overall. Yes, it may not have the depth of bass as other speakers, but the ones I tested were considerably larger. Treble is clear with a surprisingly punchy bass (given the size). Volume holds it's own and is more than sufficient with good clarity at maximum volume. Battery life is reported to be 5hrs but can't confirm or deny that yet. It feels a solid , well made product and connectivity is simple and instant. A good buy that fits in a pocket, unlike others and has a handy hook. Can't fault it...

This is a small yet reasonably powerful speaker. I have used this when working with groups of children when playing Santa for playing background music from a phone and also for dancing in a small room and found it loud enough for this purpose. Quality of sound appears OK. The only control is volume there is no bass treble adjustment on the speaker. The speaker comes complete with charge lead and a carabineer clip.

I don't leave reviews often anymore but this little speaker impressed me so much I felt I had to recommend it. I was browsing for a small portable speaker to connect to my phone whilst listening to podcasts and music streaming whilst engaged in chores. (Not fond of headphones/earphones for prolonged periods.) I found this great little unit from JBL. This is a brand that has pedigree, both in the HI-FI market and live performance, so I chose it on that basis alone. I was able to use it straight out of the box. The sound quality from such a small device surprised and impressed me. It can get fairly loud with a nice bottom end punch that surprised me most of all. I initially laid it on its back on a hard surface to test its projection unhindered or muffled and saw it move around with the vibration. I realised soon after that it should stand upright on its rubber grips, it stopped "walking" but the power from such a small unit was amply demonstrated. With regard to the features rated above, I have not given any stars relating to water resistance simply as I have no intention of putting it to the test and therefore cannot comment. However, I believe given the quality of the unit that it will pass that test if accidently dropped in water. It is a weighty, seemingly rugged device. Bluetooth works smoothly and connected to my phone effortlessly. I absolutely love this product and cannot recommend it highly enough. An impressive bit of kit. The bigger JBL Charge 5 has been voted "Best portable wireless speaker under £200.00" by 'What HI-FI' this year. Still this little (award winning) unit for the price is well worth considering.

De accuduur is langer dan aangeven en voor zo'n kleine box komt er mooi geluid uit.

Als Radio 10 fan baalde ik ontzettend dat de ontvangst op de FM autoradio na frequente verhuizing een probleem werd... Helaas kon ook de DAB+ radio in de keuken (in ons woongebied aan de Duitse grens) niets ontvangen 😭 Maar, dankzij deze handzame JBL speaker is dát probleem opgelost 😉 Via de BT van m'n foon naar dit boxje icm de Radio 10 app kan ik weer radio luisteren. En weet je, 't klinkt niet eens beroerd, best 'n dapper geluid uit zo'n klein doosje 🎵🎶 Mogelijk nú wat vervormd door 't filmen met een telefoon maar in 't echt is 't goéd aan te horen 👍 Zelfs 'n (voelbare) bas is niet storend dus ik ben erg tevreden. Hij onderbreekt muziek als de telefoon gaat alleen komt de radio daarna niet terug. Één druk op de driehoekige knop lost dat echter op. Met de gekoppelde telefoon 'n filmpje of foto's maken ging niet, toen werkten de JBL knoppen opeens als afstandsbediening om foto's of een filmpje te maken maar dan wel zónder geluid 🙄 Het filmpje bij deze review is dus met 'n andere telefoon gemaakt.
