Molding Paste For Men For all Hair Types - High Hold & Maximum Control, Natural and Matte Finish, Sulfate-Free

This is the perfect hair paste in my opinion. I've been using it for about 2-3 years. The texture looks natural, and the hold lasts all day in business / casual environments. For sports, I'd recommend something else, as excessive sweat breaks down the paste and it can be an eye irritant.

Good stuff! Holds like wax but goes on like a paste. Best stuff if you don’t want the wet look, deal with chunks of wax, and not work. Work incredibly well!

I’ve been using this for years. Just the right amount of hold and smells fantastic. Hope they never stop making this. A little pricey, but worth it to me.

For the past 5-10 years I’ve used a TIGI product called Rockaholic Way Out - I bought this product because the TIGI product has been discontinued. I mention this because it frames my review of this product as a replacement. The TIGI product came in a 5 ounce tube and came out of the tube with a consistency that was very close to Elmer’s glue - the sticky thick white stuff. The hold was very strong and would remain after it dried and was combed/brushed out. There was no residue once you did that This Redken product has less hold and has the consistency of a thinner sunscreen lotion. The hold doesn’t compare to the TIGI product despite it being advertised as “strong” or “firm hold”. I’ve found this is true of many products claiming to have firm hold. I’ve also found that you need to apply the Redken product sparingly, and best to apply on near-dry or dry hair. Otherwise if you put too much in your hair it makes your hair look and feel dirty - not a good thing. Good thing is it cleans up well…easy to get off your hands - very water-soluable. So to summarize, decent product & value, disappointing amount of hold and like many products you have to try different application methods to get best results.. Not sure whether I’ll continue to use it or not yet - it seems similar to many products on the market. I’d give it 3.75-4.25 stars.

What a wonderful hair product for men. Redkin Work Hard Paste is more like a "lotion" consistency rather than a paste. Application is easy and for those with thick hair, it's a must. This product does not leave your hair sticky or stiff, you can comb right through it. Work hard paste keeps your hair looking healthy all day with a manly fragrance. Due to the amount needed, it is a great value; highly recommended!

I have fairly short straight hair, and I wanted a product to hold well without drying crunchy like gel or sprays, and not have such shine that makes it looks wet. This is a perfect mix of a nice matte finish to make it look dry with great hold. And it dissolves in water very easily. A quick rinse of your head and it pretty much disappears, if you don't have time to wash your hair. It's a bit expensive for a hair product, compared to your standard grocery store kinds of products, but a deal compared to high end products. It lasts quite a long time, a few months of using daily because you need so little, that it's well worth the cost.

My husband has been using this same product for years, however it use to come in a pump. This is the first time he has bought it in the tube and it is sometimes watery. I'm not sure why, but it seems this is a common complaint in the new form of packaging. This is why I only gave it 3 stars because of the consistency now
