I have been very pleased with this net. It is strong, the shape cleans our koi pond very well and the mesh size is perfect for cleaning out the algae and sludge from the bottom. As I thought about it more, I thought I bet they are just going to send me the net and I will have to figure out how to take the old net off and put the new net on. This is an amazing little rake/net. I did not order for a spa but for a tougher job than that. I use this net to clean my small in=ground fish pond. I originally ordered the 17 inch net without realizing how big the net was in comparison to my small pond. It did a good job but was far too bulky for a pond that is 8'x6'x41/2 feet deep. no problem because we also have an in-ground pool so I gave it to my husband to use in his pool and there, the 17" net did an excellent job. I reordered the 13" for my pond and I used it today for the first time and I am very pleased. It immediately scooped up the twigs, leaves, all debris and even the little clumps of algae that I stirred up . The net is sturdy without being bulky or heavy which is important. i am a (very old) senior citizen and only about 4'11 and I enjoy caring for the pond and the fish myself. The net is also very deep which allows me to scoop up a lot of stuff without constantly having to empty the net every other scoop which I had to do with my old net. These features as well as the lifetime guarantee gives me the peace of mind that I wont have to replace the net every two months like the others. Of course this is only day one and so we will have to see how it holds up in the Florida sun. But if it doesn't, no worry, I looked up the ProTuff products before I ordered the first net and I am confident they will stand by their product. I only wish I had looked on Amazon before buying all my other nets. Thank goodness for Amazon. I am able to find good products for reasonable prices without wasting time going from store to store. I purchased this Skimmer net over 3 years ago and aside from a little sun bleaching of the red coloring it is absolutely as good as new. This is hands down the very best skimmer net I have ever purchased. The quality is 2nd to none. ProTuff did not cheap out in any way with this pool rake - I understand why this product came with an unlimited free replacement warranty - this thing is made so well, it won't have to be replaced probably ever. And don't think I have been easy on this thing. I have 6 trees all around my house that dump millions of leaves into my pool every year. This rake makes getting them out a breeze. It is huge and holds way more leaves than I can even carry, and I can scrape this thing all over the bottom to get the big leaves and debris that falls down to the bottom of the pool ( which is ALOT). It has held up really well. If you look closesly at the top of the rake you might see minor (and I mean MINOR) wear on the red plastic. No holes or unraveling or powderizing of the netting either. The net looks brand new just like the day I got it. And it is heavy duty, too. Ask the huge 4 pound prehistoric sized orange iguana I fished out last week. I used to buy pool nets every year or so. Sure, ProTuff is a little more, but its been over 3 years and still good as new, so if you value quality and don't want to waste your money on inferior products, get ProTuff's pool rake.
