This is the first 3D scanner we ever used, but after reading reviews on so many cheaper solutions, we did not want to risk getting something that was not working for us in the end. We did not regret buying the Einscan H at all! The setup is easy (given that you have the right machine for it) , the calibration setup is also straight forward and worked without any issue on our side. The scanning itself (of a person) is a bit of a learning curve at first, but the einscan software actually has a lot of visual cues that will tell when you are off tracking or too close/too far from the scanned object/person. The result afterwards are quite stunning, especially on the higher resolution modes, you can see every pore on the persons scanned face. which is a incredible amount of detail to work with.

The software Instructions are trash… the instructions to use it are trash… the thing puts out an amazing scan once you figure out all the setting to get what your trying to achieve. But your going to spend many many hours and time trying to perfect your scans, see what works and doesn’t, how to improve your scans. Mesh, trimming, texture? Yeah enjoy, the YouTube videos are SHEeT too.

At first I was worried this would not provide high quality scans but OMG spend some time with it and the software and get AWESOME HIGH DEFINITION SCANS!!! Be prepared to resize DOWN the objects so you can work with them in some of your favorite 3D modeling software! Can't beat this!
