Chamberlain 940EV-P2 Keyless Garage Door Access System - Quantity 1, Gray

The house we purchased did not have a keyless entry for the garage. After researching our operator I found that the Chamberlain 940EV would work with our Chamberlain Security+ garage door opener (manufactured 2005, red button). Amazon had the lowest price on this item (about $8-10 less than B&M stores). This purchase was a no-brainer. All required hardware and batteries were included. The instructions were clear and concise. There are even programming instructions inside of the plastic opener lid so you can easily reference them if you want to re-program the code. The keypad was programmed to work with our garage door operator in a matter of 5 minutes (press the "learn" button on operator and follow instructions provided by Chamberlain to configure code, press enter until the operator light flashes, press 0, good to go. Mounting was a breeze. Drilled 2 pilot holes and mounted onto my door frame. The only slight disappointment was that the one-button close features does not work with my Chamberlain Security+ garage operator model. This functionality only works with operators manufactured in 2006 (or later). This is definitely not a deal-breaker. Now we have keyless entry on the garage and we can leave a key hidden in the safety of our garage in case we lock ourselves out. This allows us access into the garage to use the hidden house key. Too bad we did not purchase this unit until the day after we mistakenly locked ourselves out of the home when taking our dog on a walk! We have a Schlage keypad deadbolt but left the door handle locked. If I would have installed this keyless entry sooner we wouldn't have needed to call out a locksmith for emergency service! Overall a great product. I do not have any negative comments and think that this is the best keyless entry available. Very reasonable price. Simple packaging. Amazon did a great job, as always, with shipping on-time with Amazon Prime!

This keypad was simple to install and took just a few minutes to program. The instructions were clear, and syncing it with my garage opener was quick. It’s convenient not having to carry a remote or keys. Solid product that does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

I have two garage doors, and I've always fought a SkyLink keypad with remote dongles that I'd wired directly to the openers, and they worked MOST of the time. I decided to bypass the silly dongles and use this to talk directly to the openers themselves. First of all - YES - THIS WILL OPEN MULTIPLE DOORS. People who say otherwise haven't read the manual. The caveat is that each door will have its own code. I did like how the SkyLink could use the same code with a "pound" and number at the end to define the door, but I can live with two codes. Setup is stupid easy, and the instructions worked perfectly. I haven't used it yet, but I love that I can assign a temporary code to each door, and assign how many times that code can be used. I simply can't tell you how much I love that feature. I'm pretty sure that'll be used for parcel deliveries in the future. Setup was a breeze. Installation was a breeze. Use is a breeze. What else do you need to know?

This review is for the standard keypad, not the video keypad. After trying several of the cheap genetics I finally found this genuine Chamberlain remote. At last, a full-featured keypad just like the original! It has one button close and it will open the door even if the other remotes are locked out. No more fear of being locked out of the house when the other doors are deadbolted. The only issue I had was the included 9-volt battery was half dead. I expected as much and was already prepared to put in a new one before programming so no problem. It easily connected to my purple button Lift Master by exactly following the instructions. Just scan the QR code on the package for the detailed user manual. Don't waste time and money on the cheap stuff. Get the original, especially when it's on sale.

This unit is a replacement for a similar model I've had for years. The previous unit was working fine though the buttons were becoming worn. Overall, it was easy to program and mount. Highly recommend.

It was great and connects very well to the garage lifter, see the set up and quick to reset if needed.

I bought this keypad after my husband purchased an off brand keypad that didn't work with our garage door opener, Chamberlain B6753T. This keypad worked first try, easy set up. Good instructions. Mounted easily. It's made of plastic but doesn't appear flimsy...still I'll take care not to be rough with the cover, seems it could easily be broken off at hinge. No reception issues. Have had no problems opening door with it. Reliable. Simple. Affordable. Really convenient to not always need a fob opener handy. I only wish I'd bought this sooner!

Our old keypad lasted about ten years before the buttons started wearing out and became less responsive, especially in the winter. This was an easy replacement that works perfectly. Setup took less than five minutes and it connected to our existing system without any issues. Simple, reliable, and does exactly what it should.

My garage door opener is a 20+ year old Chamberlain. I needed a new Chamberlain Key Pad to replace the original key pad that died from old age. I did not want to buy a a cheap knock-off just to save $20. I wanted name brand OEM that would last through another 20 years of Canadian winters. When the new key pad arrived, I was pleased with its solid, weighty feel. I could tell this was no cheap knock off. The installation was easy. One screw in the door frame to hang the key pad. And a second screw to secure it in place. Easy peasy. Here is a Pro Tip for you. My garage door opener has a rolling code "learning button" on the motor housing. I had to get up on a ladder to push the learning button to pair the new key pad remote. Here is the tip: Take the new remote up the ladder with you and pair it first before you install it on the wall. That will save you an extra trip up and down the ladder.
