This product is around $34 in Wholefoods. This is the best Vitamin C out there. Been buying this for years. It's rare to find 1,000 mg/capsule at this price. I take 4,000 mg and up to 8,000 everyday for ten years now. In 2004 as my mother was sick & dying, I was in very much in stress. One morning I woke up heavy fever, bad sore throat, and coughing heavily. I'm a vitamin junkie in nature and can pop in 10 or more pills in my mouth no problem, I wasn't myself this morning because I was so sick. I was transferring 15 Vitamin pills (500 mg/ea) to another bottle but I was interrupted and popped in my mouth all 15 Vit C pills by mistake. I screamed & said "Oh My God! I just swallowed 8,000mg of Vit C!!!" By lunch time my fever, sore throat, cough all DISAPPEARED! Since then, I've been taking 4,000mg or more everyday and have NEVER ever got a cold or sick again. It's been 10 LONG years! There are a lot of things pharmeceutical company don't tell you and Vitamin C have lots of testimonials people getting healed. The worst that can happen when you take too many is diarrhea.
