TL;DR: Buy it because it's well made and durable, not for unguaranteed faster speed To be fair, I have several of these cables at different lengths. I use them in my home office, and have purchased them for our desks at my outside office. The build quality is excellent, the RJ45 ends are strong and well reinforced, and the braided jacket fits well in modern office setups, while also being extremely durable. I finally decided to write a review to put the speed claims into context. This past weekend, I purchased yet another one of these for my wife's desk. I disconnected the old standard Cat5e cable we've been using, built and setup her new desk, and plugged this new cable in. Since I did a Speed Test (out of curiosity) before I took everything apart, I had a benchmark. To my surprise, the UGREEN cable was 10-20Mbps slower than the old regular PVC coated Cat5e cable. More curious, I did several more tests (hot swapping the cables, refreshing the page, and re-running the speed test, changing cables, restarting the computer, and running the Speed Tests, even clearing browser cache and temp files, restarting browsers, and running tests again) and the results were the same every time. One test it was as close as 7 Mbps, but each test was consistently, noticeably slower than the old Cat5e cable I originally installed, both in download and upload. For my speed context, I have Gigabit Network running throughout my house, from router to switches and end-points, and consistently get 950Mbps on most devices, so I know I'm approaching the maximum limit of my cables and hardware. This was yet another confirmation of "marketing hype" which rarely translates to real-world results. I'm sure in a lab somewhere, the company which manufactures these cables was able to create ideal conditions to force data at a high speed a few times, then make the claim. However, for the average user with a 100 base to 1000 base ethernet setup, they will never see any meaningful improvement, unless they are coming from and old Cat5 or older cable. For industrial server and large client applications, and large data LAN setups in companies, these are exactly what these cables are made for. If that's you, you already know what your looking for. For the home user, this is a great cable, but also consider, a 12 AED cable will work just as well (or faster in my case) as this 60 AED one.
