It does actually work. I had a slow draining bath and would fill up slowly while showering. Previously I had tried another drain cleaner to no effect. Followed the instructions and left overnight, then poured rest of bottles down the drain and again left for many hours. Bath now flows freely and no longer fills while showering.

Ok so it takes time and patience! 2 weeks I've had a blocked drain and tried everything. I mean everything! I lost my job due to covid and I couldn't afford a call out. It was the drain for bath, sink and washing machine. I was left washing at kitchen sink. The drain snake I brought got caught on blockage and broke. Other unblockers didnt work. I spent a whole afternoon taking pipes apart under my bath. Despite some bad reviews I thought I had nothing left to loose. I did first part and left 9 hours. Hot water wouldn't flush through and filled my bath, so I was very despondent. I poured the second part in and went to bed, thinking its worth a try. In the morning there was no water left in my bath. Excited I boiled the kettle and it didnt drain. So I tried again and it started to go slowly. About 15 kettles later it was draining, if slowly. My bathroom no longer smelt of stagnant water and I could clean my bath, if slowly. Excited, I ran a bath and thought I'd order more to completely clear blockage. After bath removed plug, and the water gurgled and went quickly down plug hole. Whirlpool and everything! I put my washing on and the water didnt come up into my bath. This has never happened since I moved in. So persevere, leave longer than what it says and use lots of hot water! I'm so so happy xxx in the video my washing machine is on 😊

I had a complete blockage, standing water the lot! This was my last resort (already owning a master plunger and a plumbers snake). Did it work? Well yes and no. I removed as much water as possible, as per instructions, and then poured the measures required for my bathroom sink down the hole as it were. As expected this quickly overfilled into my sink (because of the complete blockage and this being a totally liquid product compared to a gel or the like) however pleasantly surprised to find this a clean process. No messy splashing or foaming. Within 5 minutes the water went down at least 2cm so it was definitely doing something. I then left it overnight as instructed. The following morning however the water/HG mix in my sink had moved no further. DRAMA. Considering the fact that I couldn't use the sink before pouring this down there I had no real qualms with giving it a bit more time, so I carried on with my life and left it for 3 days. Then one evening upon getting home from work and trying to mentally work out exactly how much a plumber would charge me to fix this I thankfully tried the trifecta. After giving HG 3 days to do it's stuff and using a combination of the plumbers snake and the plunger the blockage was cleared within 10 minutes. Now don't misunderstand me, this sounds like all it took was elbow grease but this stuff certainty did SOMETHING, even if it couldn't manage the whole job on it's own. I didn't have the plunger/plumbers snake just sitting around before I purchased HG, I had tried both of them separately and together. I'd imagine in less dire situations than mine this would jolly well sort it out all on it's own but I am understanding that I had a particularly nasty blockage and a three pronged attack was required. Although I had to do some work myself I am extremely pleased that I paid £10ish pounds for this rather than calling a plumber as my problem is absolutely solved. The sink has never been clearer and I didn't get burned with acid or anything ridiculous. What more can I ask for?

Blocked kitchen sink Friday a.m overflowed onto floor a lot from washing machine trying to drain. Put 1 application if caustic soda down it - didn't work. Went out bought another bottle of caustic soda. Ended up putting the whole thing down there. Some of that settled in the bottom of the u bend & solidified. So no still completely blocked. Order the HG duo unblocker Saturday it arrived Monday. Put the first application down the sink on Monday night went to bed & left it overnight. Ran the cold tap this morning as per the instructions. There was a lot of gurgling & I thought it might not have worked but couldn't tell as I was short of time expecting an hour call to come in. Put the 2nd application down there. Took the call. After the hour then went into the kitchen turned on the cold tap. Thought I would give it a try doing some washing up. Tipped out the bowl of washing up water & yes it disappeared like a whirlpool. Faster than I had ever seen it go down before. It was wonderful & such a relief. Was thinking I would have to go to a plumbers merchants and buy a new set of pipework for under the sink. That was the next plan of attack. But no didn't have to. The key was making sure there was no water in the pipes before I put it down there, then leaving it overnight. Then leaving the final application for an hour. Give it the best chance to work. Very good. This is what I will buy again if I get another blockage.
