Disco is dead because the Kiss Army conducted a shock and awe campaign. It resulted in great losses on the disco side. It is not well known that General Donna Summer was actually severely injured in the war. The war continued through the decade of the 1970s. It was only when Laura Branigan finally surrendered to Gene and Paul at Madison Square Gardens in the early 1980s that the war concluded and rock briefly rained supreme. Historically the warring factions both suffered. After CBGBs took off and the California, Chicago, and Tampa punk scenes began to take foothold, the only true winners were the opportunistic punks. They successfully used the opportunity to own the ensuing decade under the supreme leadership the likes of Commander Henry Rollins and Viceroy Jello Biafra. Disco and rock faded in the1990s taking a backseat to a plethora of corporately driven invented music genres which gave way to the production of the largely commercialized crooner pop music receiving air in play today.

Is the Graph Gear 1000's advantages worth the higher price (which pencil is worth more for it's value)?

the main difference is that the 1000 has a click out and retractable point and an aluminum body. the only thing that i think is a downside to the 1000 is that the clip is not removable because it is part of the click mechanismalso the clip is rather large and does not flow with the design well itlooks like it was added last min by pentel. the 500 has a plastic body but metal grip and nib. in short the 1000 is better if your going to be carrying it in your pocket but the 500 is better if you going to have it on a desk or pencil case. both erasers are the same they both come in .3 .5 .7 & .9 the 1000 has a lead indicator but over all i prefer to right with the 500 i prefer a pencil slightly heavier towards the writing tip. hope this helps.
