Great product, happy with my purchase
Perfect for one or two people. Searing really works and my first use was a delicious steak! I wash the grill right on the unit with debris and soapy water falling into the drip tray which is easy to clean. And it takes up very little space so I can leave it out on the counter.. but not heavy if you need to move or store it.

Fantastic
Oh my, this is the best thing I’ve bought in a while! Cooked on it last night. Picked steak and it came out perfectly. Even has a sear setting and it worked great! Cleanup was a dream, nothing stuck all the residue slide right off the grates. Didn’t take a long time to heat up and the price was very good, love it

5 Star Indoor Grill
The Hamiton Beach Grill is perfect. It is very easy to clean with a removable plate and catch pan. We grilled tenderloin steaks and chicken breasts recently which were absolute perfection. The cooking guide is very handy and well written and the quality and ease of use is remarkable. Best kitchen appliance we have ever used.

Nice indoor grill...but....
The Hamilton Beach Electric Indoor Grill is something I have been wanting to buy for a while. Upon getting it and reading all Instructions, I washed the unit and tried it out on some chicken breasts. It did very well. It made great grill marks. Didn't taste like an outdoor grill but better than frying and baking. Taste was nice. I used bbq sauce, which actually was a little difficult to clean. My second attempt was burgers. Again, nice grill marks. Good flavor. Some smoke, but thats expected since hamburger is greasy. I again washed by hand. Cleaned rather easily. Here is my issue. The lid is not dishwasher safe, so you have to wash by hand. Which is fine. I dont run my dishwasher very often. The lid has a window on top. While washing the inside of the cover, around the window, the metal holding the window in place is very sharp and cut my finger open. I was not scrubbing hard, just ran my finger over the edge and it cut my finger. This is the only reason why I am giving a 4 star rating. If you purchase be careful with the cover.

Camper Van Packable
Perfect size for my Airstream Atlas camper van. I have gas cooktop inside but wanted an easy outdoor cooktop and opted for this electric so I don’t have to deal with gas hookup or tanks. I intend to cook for two but it could be stretched to cook for four, but would have to cook meat first, then veggies in separate batch as not big enough for all at once. Grates are heavy duty and I suspect it will retain heat well. Looks like it will clean up easily. Grates a close enough together where food should not fall through. The drip tray is plastic which makes it lightweight for camping. I tested it and it seems to work holding a low temperature which others complained about. I then cranked up to high and it was crackling when I hit it with a few drops of water. Purchased this 20”x14” zipped carry bag and it fits perfectly: Mini Lustrous Griddle Carry Bag for Camp Chef SG30, SG14, FG20, MSG20, CGG16 Griddle Models, Waterproof Anti-UV Material, Medium https://a.co/d/0dOaLvr.

LOVE this grill, no more using the big gas grill outside!
I'm recently cooking for just one again, and I love grilled foods... but pulling out the huge gas grill just to make one steak, one hamburger, or one of anything just seemed to be too much for me. Plus, my hubby always changed out the big tanks for me, and since I lost him, I just don't feel comfortable doing that myself. So, I decided to try one of those new fangled indoor smokeless grills. And I decided on this one because #1. I have never been disappointed with a Hamilton Beach product and #2. I liked the idea of the searing grill! I am very happy that I did choose this one! It works WONDERFULLY! The first thing I tried was a nice boneless rib eye steak. I followed the direction to a T, tested the internal temp before removing it from the grill, and I had the most tender, perfectly cooked steak! My next "test" was a bone-in center cut pork chop, along with a zucchini, onion and sweet potato to go with. Here, I made a mistake by not reading the instructions perfectly before hand, and I started the chop before starting the veggies. So, by the time my chop was done, the veggies were still a bit too crisp and undercooked for my liking. But that was MY fault, not the grill's. Third time was the charm, same ingredients only this time I tried a boneless chop. I started the veggies a bit before the meat, with the setting on sear... then added the meat, started the meat timer (NOT included, just my own digital timer), turned down the heat when I turned the meat and veggies... and ended up with a DELISH dinner, with everything cooked to perfection! And to my surprise, every single time I cook a chop on this thing I get a PERFECTLY cooked chop, tender, moist, and cooked to perfection! Next up was a good ol' hamburger. This thing cooks a delish burger in the time it takes to heat up my large outdoor gas grill, and I end up with a burger that is cooked to the doneness I want, is juicy, tender, and I didn't have to pull out that huge grill! One night I decided I just wanted grilled veggies for dinner, so I settled on sweet potato, tomatoes, sweet onion and green peppers. I DID add some flour to the tomatoes, but just seasonings on the other veggies. And again, everything cooked to perfection, tasted wonderful, and this has become an often cooked meal at my house now. I honestly use this grill at LEAST 3 times a week now, and the only thing I've made that was excellent was one steak, that was cooked to perfection but was just a lousy tough mess, and it was the steak, not the grill! Now, one thing that's easy about an outside, gas grill is clean up. Turn up that baby to high for a few minutes, then run a brush over it, right? Or in my case, and stainless steal scrubber that doesn't shed bristles that can get caught in your food. ANYway, clean up with this grill is even easier than that! A quick rinse under hot water and 99% of the burned on crumblies just rinse away, and a quick wipe with a soapy sponge leaves me with a perfectly cleaned grill. The drip try slides out and is just as easy to clean. The lid slide off and again, just a quick wipe with a soap sponge and it's good to go! I mentioned my new grill to a neighbor, and showed them a pic of one of my completed meals (yes, I take pics of my cooking!) and next thing I knew, she was asking me how to clean it properly, she went and ordered one for herself. And just so everyone understands this, the grill comes out of the appliance easily, just lift it up, and the removable parts all ALL able to be submerged in soapy water! She was afraid of getting the two pronged "connectors" wet, but you don't have to worry about that, the only part that can't be submerged is the actual body of the grill, the part that has the cord attached to it! I have since posted about my new kitchen love affair on a diet site that I frequent, and so far, 3 of my online buddies have also purchased this fantastic grill. And every last one of them thanks me every time they use it, saying it's the easiest thing to clean, that it does such a great job of grilling all their different foods, and not one of them has had a single complaint about this searing grill! And I do have to admit, my food LOOKS prettier when it comes off this grill than when I would cook on the big gas grill, the colors are better, less burned/browned, less overcooked, less smoky looking. Hey food appearance can make a difference in taste, too! So, all in all, I simply LOVE my searing grill. It makes everything easy to cook, from burgers to links to steaks to shrimp to veggies and even to tomatoes! I couldn't be more pleased with my grill. OH and I forgot to mention, I have NEVER had to grease this baby, no quick sprays of oil, no rubbing it down before heating... nothing sticks to it, which is why it is so very easy to clean! SO my food is also lower in calories, especially my veggies which I would always spray with oil before putting on the grill! Now, I just sprinkle spices and cook! I give this appliance 2 thumbs up and wish I had a few more thumbs to give to it!

Very good grill for home
I'd been looking for a good grill for a while, and I found this one. It's super easy to use, compact, and doesn't take up much space, heating up quickly. The plate is removable and can be cleaned easily

Great Grill, Still Some Room For Improvement
A worthy replacement for my worn George Foreman. Since it has adjustable settings, the cooking process is a bit more involved and requires the user to refer to the manual for the preparation of different food types. I give it high marks for its roominess (to fit more than one burger patty at a time), its removable grill plate (allowing for easier cleaning), and its performance. Now for the negative. Probably the worst thing about this model, is that the flat, horizontal surface area on the grill plate makes using it a bit less pleasant because of the increased chances of spills from flipping. Since the grilling surface lacks the shallow sloping angle of the Foreman, there is a greater risk of accidentally pushing the food off of the grill plate and into the lowered lid when trying to get underneath the food to flip it. There is actually a shallow curb feature on the outer edge of the grill plate that is designed to mitigate against this, but it does still require the careful attention of the user not to make this blunder. I've found this model to be a little messier with the residual grease after cooking. My other complaint is that the heating coils and the connector plug are both embedded directly into the grill plate itself. When trying to clean it in the sink, the protruding connector plug and its metal housing gets in the way and makes cleaning awkward. I'm probably just going to start taking it outside and run a pressure washer over it. I don't think cleaning it inside is worth all that trouble. In future designs, I would really appreciate it if they simplified it to where the grill plate is not joined at the hip with the heating elements. The modular "Boss" grill was actually much better designed in regard to its simplicity, where the grill plates would just snap into place and were separate from the coils that were fixed underneath. The only flaw with the base design concept of the "Boss", was that it didn't come with an extra pair of general purpose grill plates to rotate the dirty ones more easily (each pair was uniquely specialized for other purposes). The old "Boss" also lacked the grease pan that my Foreman and this newer Hamilton Beach model has. It would just be super nice if we could have the best of both worlds in a future model: a shallow sloping angle to make accidents less likely, heating elements that are separate from the removable grilling plate, and maybe a grease pan that collects the runoff grease more from the front instead of directly underneath. And...I don't know, maybe start manufacturing these things in America again like old times?
