How do I know what size to order? Also, would a size Medium at a comprssion of 15-20mmHg provide the same net compression as a size Large @ 20-50mmHG?

A compression of 15-20 medium would not be the same as a 20-50 large. Size depends on height from ankle to knee and diameter of calf and diameter of ankle. Compression is the tightness of the fabric and you should get what your doctor ordered.

Question 2

Is it alright to wear these socks continuously?  I have been wearing them 24 hours a day.

I only wear the Futuro or support socks (which are a Firm Support 20-30 mmHg) from morning until I go to bed, especially since edema gravitates downward.  I took notice that from my knees upward I still have fluid retention from being on my feet or in a sitting position during the day.  My personal opinion is you need to give your legs a rest, if you are lying down, the fluid retention will automatically go to your back or whichever position you sleep.  Above all, it would be best to consult with your cardiologist or primary physician for an accurate answer.I will say that the Futuro Support Socks have been very helpful in resolving the swelling in the legs from edema.  I no longer have the retention of fluid in my legs.  I have tried a couple other brands of support socks but found Futuro to be the best brand for me; if you are dealing with Rheumatoid Arthritis in your toes there are other brands of support socks that provide extra room in the toe area to give less pressure on the toes.My advice would be to buy a pair of a couple different name brands and see which is best for your health situation and then order the brand that is like best, but make sure that you buy the Firm Support 20-30 mmHg since they seem to hold up the best.

Is this a pack of two socks or two pair of socks?

I have purchased these socks several times.  Each package contains one pair of socks. BUT I do understand your question.  The product listing seems to show two units per purchase which implies two pair.   Regardless, this is a super good value.  I suggest you purchase at the current $11.99 price as that is about half price if there are two pairs in the offer.    I've have not purchased this exact offer so can't be sure you will get two pair.

WAIT:  I paid 14.85 for one pair in October 2020;  The "pack of 2" was a choice in that posting, so the current post must mean two pair.
