ESV Study Bible (Hardcover, Indexed): English Standard Version, Study Bible

With the ESV study Bible, the Bible becomes multidimensional! And very appealing. Formerly, one had to take for granted where 'Jericho' was, or that a river 'Jordan' would dry up. Now, with small written comments and maps at the bottom of the page, biblic history becomes a compelling truth. It all makes so much more sense than when I was young (and lacking maps, indications of time etc.). The bible is - besides Holy Script - also a marvellous history book. This book is by far the best on earth that men can buy for 32 G BP...!!

Diese Studienbibel ist klasse... natürlich wegen der guten Kommentare, welche helfen, den Text verständlich zu machen. Im Gegensatz zu manchen Studienbibeln, welche einem die fertige (und oft falsche) Theologie unterjubeln wollen, beschränkt sich diese Studienbibel darauf, einem den Text zu erklären, indem die Kommentare gute Hintergrundinformation zum Entstehungshintergrund, der Grammatik oder den sozialen Umständen der damaligen geben.

This study bible is very helpful and easy to understand. Highly recommended!

The best translation and format for modern English readers, period. Great layout with abundant notes and cross references. Wonderful supplementary materials with introductions to each of the books of the Bible, great maps and drawings, great appendix full of information about Jewish and Christian history, formation of the Canon, Old and New Testament theology, archaeology, and a wealth of other stuff. This should be in every Christian's library. This is my Bible that I use every day; I write notes and other scribbles (pencil only!) throughout with impunity since it isn't the most expensive Bible around. I don't want to mark up my "good" Bibles (of which I have several, including a wonderful leather bound version of the Crossway Study Bible). Some may love the King James, the NASB, or the NIV, and all have their merits and flaws, but the ESV really is THE standard for today's readers. Great job, Crossway!

Português: A melhor Bíblia de Estudos que temos atualmente. É mais completa que a NAA, além de ser colorida. Além disso custou apenas um pouco mais (237 com desconto do app). Demorou 2 semanas para ser enviada. A transportadora foi um ponto negativo. O código de rastreamento não funcionou direito e entregaram o produto somente à noite. Os tamanhos de letra são bem parecidos com a Bíblia de Estudos da Fé Reformada. As referências cruzadas são exatamente as mesmas. English: The best study bible available today. I'm not a native English speaker and I'm more interested in the studies than is the Bible text itself. But it's good to have the Bible text I'm one column. My only concern was the "cover protection". As you can see in the pictures, it was just a simple paper to protect it of simple dirt. I was waiting for it to come with the plastic case I saw in other reviews but maybe I was misinformed about this. The font sizes are ok to me. The cross references letters were larger than my Portuguese Reformation Study Bible. The studies were slightly smaller. If you have vision problems, I recommend the Large Print version. The size of the Bible itself is perfect to me. It fits the product's description.
