In addition to the information in the video which describes this set as a good quality, lifetime type of set, I did want to add that since I made the video, I have used the small pot and it worked great. I have run the whole set through the dishwasher and they all came out sparkling clean. The small pot did have a sharp edge on it. These pots and pans do not have *rolled* edges like some stainless steel sets. The rest of the pieces were smooth. It was just the small pot that had a sharp edge. My husband managed to smooth it off so we are keeping the set because I like it so much. Clean up is a breeze for these pots and pans and I love the glass lids so you can turn the heat down before boil over!! The handles DO stay nice and cool, but you will need a pot holder for the lid handle - it gets as hot as the pot. The heat is very even and I was surprised at how quickly my food was ready without ever going higher than medium setting on my stove burner. A set I will enjoy for a lifetime, I'm sure. UPDATE: I have cooked several meals in various of the pots and pans now so wanted to update and add a picture about sticking and cleaning up. The picture of the dirty pan is where I fried ground beef. Not a lot of stick but seemed to be some. The second picture is how it came out of the dishwasher. Most of the set have been washed a few times now in the dishwasher, and of course, the initial wash of the whole set. They come out sparkling clean and not spotted. I do have some Bar Keepers Friend though, should i need it. Still give this set a 5 star rating.

I really love my decision to go with the Lagostina brand pot set. I had done weeks of reading forums, watching YouTube and deciding between brands and types of pots and decided for this one. Almost a year and a half later they are still wonderful and holding up. I used to only use nonstick so I was nervous about stainless steel but they work great! Very resilient. I also recommend getting glass tops as you can see inside without taking the lid off.

I've always wanted copper cookware. I love cooking and many friends tell me I have missed my calling by not becoming a chef. For me the creative process of cooking is fun and the end result is the best reward. It's a full contact sport so I have always wanted good tools, and a really nice copper set has been my fantasy for a long time. I shopped around looking at both modern and vintage sets, domestic and imported brands. Somewhere in there I fell in love with the hammered look. The cost of these sets or pieces can be crazy prohibitive, but then again, this is cookware for LIFE. After two years of looking, comparing, researching, I was no closer to a decision. The choices were between $400-600 for a vintage set that I could not inspect (online at Etsy or Ebay) or $800-1500+ for a new set. Then I saw this. The cost was seductively low so I read the description and specs to see where it might fall apart, and it didnt. By comparison, it held up against my list of requirements. As a bonus, it was hammered. This set was new, waranteed, STEEL lined instead of the tin in the vintage, but priced like vintage instead of new; Made in Italy, so I'm not paying China yet again... so many reasons to finally make a purchase! So I did it. The box arrived fast (Thanks Amazon as always) and the items came out of the box glowing... and I think I heard a chorus singing. I definitely got the tingles. They were so pretty and buttery smooth in my hands. I know I will have to take care of them to keep them pretty. The experience can only be described as Santa for adults. I actually invited my friend to come witness the experience, calling it my "Big Girl" cookware. She 'oooo'd and 'awwww'd appropriately. The pieces were nice and heavy, sturdy, bottom heavy as they should be. They weren't, however, too heavy to comfortably lift, carry and handle in the "arena". I flipped and turned them about with ease and no wrist fatigue. The handles were quite comfortable. They are rounded and smooth, no sharp edges and thick/sturdy enough to last. They are not overly long as some vintage handles can be, again making the set appropriately nimble. The rivets holding the handles are of good diamter size and quite thick, not threateningly small. I have read a lot of reviews on tops. For those sets that come with tops, there seems to be a lot of complaints about flimsiness. I was suspecting that these too would prove thin but I was wrong. The tops are light but rigid. They do not bend or 'frisbee'. You would need to stand on one to actually bend or warp it and dropping it accidentally should cause absolutely no worries. The lid handles use the same rivets as the pot/pan handles so they are not going anywhere. Cooking is just a dream. I cant really say anything more about that. It's a tryply design that does what it says. if you've ever cooked with copper, you know and if you havent, this is the best way to grow up. I can not recommend this set enough. It's a new set at a used/vintage price. It's a quality set on par with much higher priced brands. It's a European product, not Chinese. It's beautiful and functional. For anyone, like me, looking for that lifetime set but lacking the winning lottery ticket, this is the bargain treasure for which you have been waiting. Go get it!

Black stain, solder marks on the bottom and discolouration on nearly every pot/pan. One pot has a manufacturing flaw on the outside and another pan came with scratches in the copper coating. I expect flawless free products for $ 750. Will send it back...
