Love the 8QT Duo Crisp
I got the 8qt duo crisp and it has revolutionised my kitchen and my cooking. I've given away my slow cooker as Instant Pot does everything. I always roast chicken in the pressure cooker and then finish off with the air fryer to crispen it. Keeps it moist and delicious. Slow cooker and saute features are great. Air fryer is also easy to use and results are crispy - I've never used one before so can't compare it to stand alone air fryers. Seldom use the oven anymore.

It has a USA plug and not Australian. The Instant Pot has an Australian plug which you would expect from Amazon Australia. You would think the Airfryer that fits it would be the same or really have a distinct warning that it does not. Contacted Amazon days ago and have not had a response!

Overview I use this primarily for browning/crisping something I have cooked in the instant pot pressure cooker...but I also use it as the sole appliance for more tender meats like salmon and boneless chicken thighs. That said...if all I ever used it for was pork belly...it would be with its' weigh in gold ! :) I cook the pork belly under pressure...then switch to the air fryer to make it crispy...and render down more of the fat. It comes out perfect. I have tried the BBQ...but it's takes a long time, uses a lot of propane...and is prone to flair ups (OK...small fires) I have tried pan frying in a cast iron skillet...and the oil splatter is out of control. I have tried oven broiling... and without fail it will trigger the smoke alarms... ...the Instant Pot followed by Air Fryer is the prefect solution. Even when I use the BBQ for the main dish...I use the air fryer for a side (crispy potato wedges, air fried veggie batons with a bit of breading etc) Very happy with the purchase. Pros -versatile -easy to use and fool proof Cons -a little pricey...but still good value Recommendation – Would buy it again and would highly recommend <---Click below if you found this review helpful--->

We already owned an Instant Pot and were thinking about buying a standalone air fryer. When I discovered this air fryer lid attachment — and saw all the positive reviews — I was sold. It has completely revived our Instant Pot without adding another bulky gadget to the kitchen. The lid works exactly as advertised: crispy results, quick heating, and simple setup. It’s a great space-saving solution and perfect for anyone who wants air-fryer functionality without cluttering the countertop.

Yeah, I drank the IP Kool-Aid, but not without good reason-the 6qt earned a permanent place on the counter for the last 5 years and I bought the 8qt for bigger jobs. Beans, broth, homemade pet food, steel-cut oats, grains, tender meats, lazy-day cakes, perfect rice and pasta and easy-peel eggs, those funky giant pancakes...but this is about the lid. I just got it today and so far made a small batch of home made French fries for lunch and roasted eggplant, roasted chicken breasts and a huge batch of fries for dinner. If you've used the IP for any length of time, the lid feels familiar and since you can check the food at any time, the learning curve is short. A little sense and care goes a long way. It gets screaming hot inside and under the lid so be careful but pay attention and you'll be fine. It cooks some things faster, some not, but it doesn't heat the kitchen nearly as much as the oven does. I had to do a bit of staggering to cook the whole meal but it worked out. Recipes and even time/temp sources are scarce so: Small batch fries (softball size white potato): soak for an hour, dry thoroughly, 1T oil 400F for 20 minutes. Creamy inside, crispy outside. Eggplant (fingerlings, halved lengthwise): soft and a little browned in 8 minutes at 400F. Chicken breasts (two huge bone-in split about 3/4 pound apiece): roasted at 380F for 30min. Start skin side down, flip halfway through. Internal temp 170F, juicy meat, crispy skin. Big batch of fries (3 almost softball size) Soaked, drained, put in steamer basket and used dehydrate function to dry the surface, a couple tablespoons oil, air fry at 385F for 27 minutes, poured out into a tray and rearranged halfway then crisped at 400F for 5 minutes. Might have been better to crisp half a batch at a time as the basket was full but they were still good, just not golden on all sides. YMMV, but hopefully this gives someone a start. The chicken breasts were huge so I put them on the broiling rack but not in the fryer basket; I set it on the two-handled SS rack that comes with the IP. They overlapped a bit as it was and would never have fit in the fryer basket. I plan to use the same setup when roasting a chicken. I will buy the multilevel dehydrating rack to use for fries in the future (humongous sweet potato in my CSA, I'm looking at you). I can see where folks use it to crisp up mac and cheese and pressure-cooked chicken but I'm in it more for the air fryer and roasting veg without using the oven when it's hot out. Want to try burgers and sausages next. I did think it was a little pricey but it'll get used a lot and honestly, the IP has done so much for us over the years I'm happy to support the company. This won't transform my cooking the way the IP did, but it will surely earn its keep.
