Fixed the switch in less then 10 minutes. Works great way cheaper then bring to a store to fix.

Worked great, and the companies online instructions were very easy. Unfortunately the Amazon sticker was placed over the QR code so I couldn’t find it that way, but I googled the item and found the directions.A couple notes for anyone attempting this project… Rotate the screws very, very slowly. I accidentally cracked the first one by trying to unscrew it at a normal speed.The screws are extraordinarily tiny, some only 1.5 mm. Be prepared. I used double-sided masking tape to stick them onto paper in the order I took them out. My son labeled them as we went.On the actual card reader, very carefully peel off the black foam square from the old reader and apply it to the new reader. The new reader did not come with the foam square.It was helpful to have my son hold a flashlight aimed under the chip as I attempted to seat it properly on the motherboard. Before you take the old chip off, pay attention to how much perimeter you should have around the chip.Overall, I am very pleased that it worked and I was able to fix it at home. The Nintendo switch repair shop quoted $99 to repair the microSD port.

The part works and does look like the OEM parts from nintendo. Replacing the old part took a few minutes. I wish they would sell this on amazon without the screwdriver.

Switch's base SD card had an issue where it's connection was loose. Bought this, and it's was an instant success. Thought my problems were solved. I got this in February. It's now June, almost July. So in 4 months this thing essentially started dying on me. Bear in mind I didn't use the switch for a couple months after I replaced it, was busy or playing other games.As for what the actual problem is, it does the same thing the old reader did minus the loose part. My switch would get random errors at random intervals claiming the micro SD card was disconnected when it's slotted in perfectly. I am incredibly disappointed. I don't think it's worth the price either.

Like many who have purchased a Nintendo Switch, I went to add a MicroSD card in the slot to only find out that the card reader was DOA from the factory. This kit has everything needed to replace the card reader in 10 minutes. Worked like a charm after installing.

Don't know if the item is faulty or the Nintendo switch its self has an issue I plugged it in and get the same issue “you have removed sd card turning off” honestly just my luck if you have screw drives to take the switch apart Id suggest getting the cheapest sd reader you can find. The screw driver its self is ok.
