I wanted a camera that would stream video over my local Wi-Fi that I could move around as needed for different projects. I use it to monitor 3D prints, or keep an eye on the kids in the front yard, and this does a great job at that (as long as you know the limitations). This does not have an autofocus so you need to focus the camera by hand. This is meant to be a cheap camera module, so if you want some kind of autofocus you need to pay more for that feature. this module does manage to stream up to 30 FPS at 1080P without much difficulty. I may end up buying more to use for other projects so I can remote manage them from my desktop as needed.

I purchased this camera to set up a monitor for some birds nesting on my back porch. I 3D printed a special housing mount for the camera and had to experiment with the dimensions of the holes in the mount because there was no dimensional information on the camera, sensors, and IR LEDs. Once I got the housing completed and the remote RPi camera fully assembled I was able to watch the birds raise their young both day and night. Side note, the camera comes with an 80-degree field of focus lens. If you want a narrow focus, you will need to obtain replacement 12M lenses from ArduCam and remove the IR filters on the lenses.

Tried multiple raspberry pis of different varieties. Simply didn't work.

Good camera, solid day / night image quality for inside ussage. Works with Raspberry Pi, Bullseye revision of RPI Debian OS suggested. Works with Synology too.

Nothing to dislike - my son uses it via a Raspberry Pi to monitor his 3d printer - very robust product and clear image in the dark or light.
