The Melissa & Doug Clay Play Activity Set has been a fantastic addition to our playtime routine! My almost 3-year-old son absolutely loves it. The set includes sculpting tools that are easy for little hands to use, and the 8 tubs of modeling dough keep him entertained for hours. I especially appreciate that it’s a wooden set—it feels sturdy and durable, which is a nice touch for a toddler’s toy. The lids of the dough containers have little molds, which is a fun feature and adds extra creativity to the experience. However, the dough containers themselves are a bit flimsy, and we found that the amount of dough included isn’t quite enough for extended play. We ended up buying additional dough, but that’s not a dealbreaker for us. Overall, this is a great starter set for toddlers. It encourages fine motor skills and imagination, and the tools and dough are simple yet effective for little hands. I highly recommend it for any young child who loves to create!

Bought for my two-year-old, doesn’t really understand it at this age but I wanted to get him a gift that he will grow into overtime. Maybe more suitable for a 2 1/2 for three year-old! Really great quality and fun toy.

I got this for my two year old and it’s the perfect gift. I really love the quality and I know it will last us a long time. It also comes with a decent variety of tools and it’s easy for toddler to use. I recommend this for anyone who is looking into long lasting quality clay tools for your toddler. This also makes a great gift.

I am so disappointed with this purchase. Although I really like the quality of the wooden tools, all of the playdough was very sticky. I’m not sure if it was a bad batch, or if it had been stored in extreme temperatures, but the consistency of the playdough was more like sticky glue. I had to dispose of all of it immediately!

This dough kit has great tools (why I bought it), but the little containers of dough it came with are terribly sticky. My son and daughter play with homemade dough and Play-Doh all the time, and noticed right away how sticky the dough with this set was. It stuck all over their fingers, clothes, and tools. I let them play with it for about five minutes then they didn’t want to play with it anymore. Too sticky. I’m working on scrubbing all of the tools off now with soap and hot water. Please either omit the dough from the tool set, or include Playdough that is not sticky please.

Do not buy this for the dough. That stuff dried up pretty quick. Great for all the accessories you get. They've been holding up really well and has a great assortment. The scissors were great first time scissor practice for my child.

Great toy, and good change for a little boy from his multitudes of cars and trucks! Wish the wooden boxes had lids, but then again it likely would have cost more. Would recommend as there are many hours of entertainment in play dough. Lots of interesting choices in tools to help development a good imagination and artistic skills.

Wasn’t sure if this was going to be worth 40$ but it definitely was! The kids love it and there’s enough of each type of modifier (rolled, scissors, etc) to share and each of them to participate. Comes with a few jars of (very sticky) dough, but we also had our own to use. My 2 YO and 4 YO are very happy!

Play-Doh is a big thing in our house and this was a huge hit!

the accessories kit is great! but mold is growing inside one of the dough cups. not a vendor issue. this happened during manufacturing.
