このゲームは、オレンジ色の子音のカードと、紫色のその後につくカードを組み合わせて、単語を作るゲームです。 例えば、hと書いてあるいうオレンジ色のカードがあれば、it と書いてある紫色のカードと合わせて、hit という単語が作れます。 英語のフォニックスを習い始めた5歳の子と遊びました。元々のルールは、速さを競うのですが、ゆっくり、楽しみながらやることもできます。 子供ながらに、こんな言葉はあるのかな、と適当に作った言葉が実際に存在するのを知って、喜んでいます。 レビューアーの一人が書いている方法は、まさに日本人初心者向けなので、ここに紹介します。 オレンジ色のカード(子音) を7枚ずつプレーヤーに配る。紫色のカード(it, ill などの子音の後につく文字) をデッキとして、中央に置く。 プレーヤーは、デッキの紫カードを一枚めくり、自分のカードのどれかと合わせて、単語を作る。出来れば、オレンジのカードを捨てる。できなければ、次の人のターン。紫のカードは、デッキの一番下に。 一番最初にオレンジの持ち札が無くなった人が勝ちです。 これなら、ゆっくり考えることができるし、周りの人に、こんな単語はある？と聞くこともできます。 辞書を片手にやるのも良いでしょう。 二人以上何人でもできます。紫色のカードの数は少ないので、使ったカードは一番下に入れて、何度も使いまわせます。
