Looks like a vise, functions like a vise.
It’s a pretty simple de(vise), and it gets the job done. Everything fits together and moves smoothly. A pro might need something a little more heavy duty, but for a hobbyist like me, it’s a great deal.

Overall good vise
had some mixed experiences with it.Pros:Good Performance: Overall, the vise performs well and does the job effectively. It's a solid addition to my woodworking bench.Usability: Once installed, the vise is very usable and provides a strong hold on workpieces. I made the vise jaws out of beech wood, which enhances its functionality and appearance.Cons:Installation Challenges: Installing the vise was a bit of a struggle. A template for the installation would have made the process much easier. It took me a while, but I managed to install it. Despite the difficulty, I'm happy with the result. The handle: Constantly falls off unless you glue it. The screws are not holding it properly, which is frustrating. However, it’s an easy fix if you glue the handle in place. I did that with 5 min epoxy.Alignment Issues: I noticed a little movement, and the vise isn't perfectly flush with the table top. This could be due to the precision of the holes I drilled or the vise itself. It’s something to keep in mind during installation.Additional Thoughts:I'm currently using this vise as a front vise, and I am considering getting another one to install as a tail vise for my custom workbench. For those installing this vise, double-check your measurements and the precision of your drilled holes to ensure a better fit. Some reviews mentioned that the part is not at a perfect 90-degree angle, and this is true. However, I believe this is intentional, as it seems to help the screws clamp the vise better to the table.Despite the challenges during installation and minor alignment issues, the Vise is a good product that performs well once set up. It provides strong clamping power and is a valuable addition to any woodworking bench. For the price, it offers good value and functionality. If you're prepared for a bit of a challenging installation process, this vise is worth considering.

Perfect budget bench vise!
Really pleased with this. Have moved into a new house with a dedicated workshop. Needed a bench and a vice and did not want to spend too much money. The bench was from a YouTube video (Building a Workbench With Storage in Less Than One Hour - Only One Plywood Sheet and Some 2x4's) The vice I choose was this one.Beautiful smooth operation, only downside was no instructions on how to mount. But then I thought how could they provide instructions everybody's bench is going to be different? Please see photos as to how I mounted.

Should come with a guide
Install is trickier than it has to be. If it only came with a guide to layout the holes . Otherwise works ok.

Great wood vise for the price
I recessed it into the vise blocks, worked out well Novice note; No instructions or mounting hardware come with it.

Solid vice, but you need to know this
not all holes are the same size. There are 4 mounting holes. The measurement indicated for the ID is true only for two of holes. The other two holes are smaller.I would buy it, measure the holes, and get the correct sized bolts yourself

Decent product no installation instructions or hardware list.
Likes1. Inexpensive.2. Easy to install.3. Easy to use.4. Fairly durable.Dislikes:1. No installation instructions.2. As you open and close the vise pressure isn't even until you close on a piece of work. Not a big deal, but if you're trying to make your vise boards perfectly level with your bench its difficult.3. No list of hardware to buy.Let me do you a favor. Buy a 1 inch forstner bit. This will make big enough holes for the guide rods and threaded rod. Buy 8 number 14 flat head wood screws. Length is on you, your bench will be different than mine and so will your vise pieces.Overall this is a decent buy. Its adequate for what I need it for. I'm adding to my guitar work bench to extend it for wood working and furniture building. There are probably better, but if you're new to wood working this is fine. I would buy again

Smooth tight closing if set up properly
Very good for the price. Two attempts to install. Suggest care installing on you work bench to eliminate pulling right or left alignment. Insure accurately placing the correct hole sets and use a good hardwood like “Maple” on the vice faces.
