Can this be applied to my hand held shower head?

I think these shower heads are all the same as far as hookup is concerned. The only difference that I can tell is that these don't have a handle and if you place it in the holder where there used to be a hose hand-held, it will point up instead of down, if the hose is still connected, which I'm assuming you want..

If i threw away the box with the included parts, where can i find replacement flow restrictor parts? the force of the water coming out is strong.
