Thick and sturdy plastic. Does not conform to the slender upper leg of the chair, so (rain) water will collect and stay in the bottom, but it gets the job of keeping rust off the cement patio.

So why have some square stock patio furniture on a brand new tracks deck and needed these bumpers for the bottom of the chair they didn’t go on terribly easily and but they appear to be working just fine

I did not purchase these for use on chairs. I have no chairs that they will fit on. Instead, I purchased them as end protectors for my Jo staffs that also get used outdoors as walking sticks. I purposefully wanted very thin caps -- nothing thick and padded -- because the ends of a Jo staff are used in punching against an aggressor. These are thin enough to remain relatively hard, but they are not so thin as to be fragile. I think they will hold up well. Jo staffs are generally 1" -- mine are -- so they slipped right on. One of my staffs is ever so slightly smaller than 1", so the fit was loose. But I don't fault the caps for that. They fit very well and tightly on my larger staff. Regardless, I put a tiny drop of ShoeGoo into the end of each cap, then pressed it onto each staff. They are firmly in place now.

Misshapen, poor quality. Waited for them to get here to finish project. They werent round when they got here. I attempted to reshape & after a lot of aggravation I decided not to use them at all.

Good quality and I would have been happy with them if I had not measured the old one wrong and ordered too small of a size for my chairs. Returning these and buying the correct size.

These are low quality and really thin. It was the only place I could find a bulk pack so I gave it a go. I an writing this review to warn others that they are really thin and unlikely to meet your expectations.
