No bad smell, but isn't likely to be mistaken for authentic full grain leather. Fits me just fine. My AC has adjusted +2, but no assailants to test that assertion. I suppose you could wear these backwards to make a handy cover guard for the back of your hand, so long as yours aren't too big. I sometimes forgot I was wearing them once I got used to them. This could actually be useful for protecting your arms if you're gardening with thorns, but won't protect your fingers.

Pretty much what you would expect, only issue I had with it was having to constantly shift it back into place and the only way I could stop it from moving was to wear it too tight. Otherwise pretty great

I bought this product over cheaper eBay items due to it's weathered look but unfortunately the leather looks quite different to the picture. They feel like leather and are quite well made. They fit well but you will need very thin arms for them to wrap all around your forearm.
