This is an excellent set of ceramic knives - color coded handles & covers, stay sharp a looong time and reasonably rugged. Yes, you can break them (or any ceramic knife) but ours lasted 6 months aboard our sailboat and we bought another set for my Mother-in-Law.

I am sorry to write a negative but true review. I never had a knife chip and break while cutting a fresh red pepper, green beans, and fresh vegetables I have never used your knives on steak or meat or raw potatoes just fresh vegetable. The third knife out of four lost the tip of the knife within the first week of owning the knife set. I was washing another knife with a soft sponge on the sharp part of the nice little chip broke off along the blade. I have one knife that doesn’t have a chip on it. I only used them for vegetables. I only have one knife set that is not brokenout of the four knives disappointed in Massachusetts..
