Maybe Lenormand Review: A wonderful deck - The images are wonderful, though U.S Games' choice of using a lot of shades of orange is not my thing. I will save up for one of his handmade decks if one is still available. The coloring is much more to my tastes. I love the addition of the 16 cards that follow some of the older fortune-telling decks. Once I learn the traditional Lenormand, I am looking forward to learning the additional cards Mr. Edward added to his deck. The images are easy to discern. The few that some find "difficult" to discern, once you know the artist's style, no problem. The accompanying book is well done. Though the magnetic closing box is fine, I make my own card boxes for my decks. I am looking forward to using this deck. I really love this deck. Review: Sweet drawings true to the system, bonus cards (but no extra Lady/Gentleman significators) - This deck is absolutely adorable. The images are comprised of sweet little drawings, judiciously colored, that stay faithful to the Lenormand system symbolism. They are easy to read quickly, such as via a Grand Tableau. The card size is nice for larger readings using all of the cards, and the stock is sturdy and durable. The card box is larger as the deck is split in two for storage, which is fine though it makes stashing the deck in one's purse more challenging (easily addressed with a drawstring bag). It's a sturdy box with magnetic closure and will hold up for years. Kudos to U.S. Games for that! Tarot decks often come in flimsy boxes, so this is terrific. The LWB is perfect-bound and printed in color, so you see color images of the cards, which is terrific. Each card is cited with a keyword (in big red letters) and is followed with a description of the card, its meanings as well as what kind of person the card may represent. What's really fun is that this deck comes with extra cards: 37 to 52, providing a slew of extra meanings to your reading. For example, card 45. is Sickbed: Illness. If you're a beginner, you can use the first 36 cards to learn and practice the system. If you're an adept, these extra cards will add some fresh insights and the pleasure of learning. I have seen another deck that takes this tact of adding similar extra cards, and different card inserts were used, so I'm unsure how the card inserts were chosen for the added cards (for either deck, frankly). You can read with the whole expanded deck in a Tres Grand Tableau. The only challenge is if you use houses in a Grand Tableau, you'll run out of cards for this spread. No matter! You can buy another deck and use it as a houses layout or you can just jot down the houses on paper or a reading cloth and reference them as you read. The only downside to this deck is that it does not include extra significators for the Lady/Gentleman, which I am seeing as a U.S. Games trend with their Lenormand decks. Some people seeking readings, particular ones covering love/romance, like to see themselves represented in the cards, and male/female only significators do not support same-sex readings. So if you read for others more widely, this deck will have its limits in that regard. I would have given the deck four stars for this, but everything else is so stunning ...

Great little set
I haven’t tried Lenormand before - this set has some small well-designed cards and a very useful booklet explaining how to use lenormand. I did one of the 5-card readings suggested and it was as clear as day! Impressed so far. I’m not using the additional cards yet, until I’m used to the base 36. Very nice, and small enough for a handbag if you have a little wrap.

Updated gypsy witch cards are adorable
I almost didn't get these after watching Kelly on her YouTube channel "Truth in story" review them. The drawings looked ugly, which was I guess her point because she showed her least favorite cards. I ordered these when I saw it had the gypsy witch cards updated attractively with a prettier name to the deck and a book along with them, as gypsy witch has no book and I wanted to fully understand those extra card meanings not belonging to lenormond in that card system sequence. So, I bought these for the book. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened this deck and saw how tiny and cute these cards are. Even the cards I thought looked ugly online appear cute upon inspection. I suppose an issue with the clouds card is it doesn't look like clouds but waves as they are wispy fog like clouds and there is no light side to the picture which is used as a directional clue to add depth to readings; for example the blade of the scyth is facing what it cuts, like directional clues found in Kipper cards or sibila belong on some of these cards traditionally. The dark side of the clouds is suppose to create darkness on cards laying on that side. You won't get that with this deck unless you alter your cards with some special markers/pens or teach yourself to respond to clues not on the cards themselves, like keep in mind left side is dark and to right is happiness. You don't have to follow directional clues, it's just may give extra tips in giving a reading. But anyway, I think these cards are adorable, affordable and well worth a purchase. Reading them is always a pleasure.

A new Lenormand worth having
I am really pleased with these cards. Usually I am leery of new Lenormand cards because they stray too far away from the classical symbolism of the original cards, but not this set. The cards are very cleanly designed and unencumbered with a lot of extra symbolism . However, the designs are beautifully executed, very clear and stick to the original symbols (ie: rider, house, ship, etc) and the creator paid attention to detail. But if that isn't enough, the deck also has an additional 16 cards that you can use (but you don't HAVE TO if you want to stick with tradition) to get a clearer understanding of your reading. These extra 16 cards "borrow from a tangent lineage of fortune telling decks" to quote the artist. They are just as beautiful and cleanly designed as the first 36. I can't explain how, but the deck looks traditional and modern at the same time. There is something very familiar in the line drawings that I can't put my finger on. In any case, the size of the cards are 2 1/4" X 3 1/2" They fit very nicely in my hands and are sturdy in that they are not made of a flimsy cardstock.

Love this deck. Lenormand and much more. Bang on readings. I'm a system reader and I enjoyed the extra gypsy cards that make this a 52 card deck. Beautiful lovely white cards. Small and good for GT.
