Works Great for Anemia, No Digestive Side Effects
My doctor diagnosed me with anemia and wanted me to start taking an iron supplement. I did some research and high levels of iron supplement can cause constipation, so I wanted something that wouldn't cause that, but still give me the extra iron. I decided on these because they're slow release, thus not causing constipation. I've been taking them for 3 months now. They do change the color of stool to almost black and make it messier, but hasn't changed frequency. I just got my blood retested and after 3 months of taking these, my red blood count went up almost 3% and my hemoglobin and hemocrit went up several percent as well. My doctor was pleased with the results. After about a month and a half, I noticed my energy level was better and I didn't feel as exhausted. I'm still taking them every day. Another bonus of these is that they are small like a Sudafed. I am not someone who can swallow pills - I'm still afraid to after the choking incident of 1992 on a pill when I was a kid. These however, are small enough to swallow easily with a sip of water. Very happy with the results from these and am continuing to take them.

AMAZING!
I have long periods with painful cramps. Clotting, using tons of pads, and long periods averaging 9-10 days. I also craved ice and spent tons on money on Chick-Fil-a crushed ice. I was miserable , tired, and worlad I ried about my period. However I remembered when I would take my iron pill consistently my period was shorter and better. So I decided to give it a try! I am sooooooo glad I did ! I have been taking Slow Fe consistently over the last month and honey it has been amazing! I had a short 5-6 day period, reduced cramps if any, more energy, less bleeding, and NO ICE ! I actually cannot imagine eating a cup of ice! I tried and it tasted like metal! I am excited to see what my next period will be like now that I have taking the pill for approx 5 weeks!

Great product!
My iron was low recently - dr prescribed an iron supplement. I was hesitant to take it as I'd had IBS issues in the past which were under control. And my husband had terrible side effects from an iron supplement. So after doing some research I decided to try this Slow FE - and my dr agreed that I try it. The dosage is half of what she prescribed. Anyway - in one month my iron levels are normal! I'm so thrilled. I've had no problems/side effects whatsoever from the Slow FE. I take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach - no nausea. I'm not crazy about the packaging but I'm used to it.

Helpful product! Very easy on the stomach.
This is the only iron pill I've been on that doesn't upset my stomach, doesn't leave a weird, metallic taste in my mouth and is overall very easy on the whole digestive system... if you know what I mean. Now, because it is slow absorbing, certain foods and drinks will need to be avoided (such as black and green teas) for about 2-3 hours after taking this, since they have a tendency to block the iron absorption. Although, taking a vitamin C tablet or gummy will speed up the absorption process. Anyway, I've been taking this for awhile now and it's been really effective on my anemia. Pretty decent price too. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs some extra iron.

Iron supplements that are *almost* perfect at eliminating nasty GI side effects
I started taking these after being diagnosed with anemia. My anemia symptoms were making it impossible to do much more than go to work and go home, and even that felt impossible at times. I had extreme fatigue, brain fog, poor circulation creating cold hands and feet, excessive/fast heartbeat, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, and brittle nails. I wanted to try these first because other iron supplements (the kind that don’t slowly release the iron) always gave me miserable GI symptoms. After a few days I’d feel nauseous and quit taking them. Problem is, you have to take iron supplements daily and without fail, for several months, before their impact really takes hold. CONS: - At worst, these have given me a little bit of constipation, but increasing fiber intake and/or using a stool softener counteracts this. - The blister pack housing each of the tablets really is like breaking into Fort Knox. I get it- iron poisoning is real and you have to make it difficult if not impossible for curious kids to stumble into. - **Just be careful if using a sharp tipped object to cut through the foil - not because you may cut yourself, but because you may scrape or break off part of the pill’s protective coating that makes it a slow-release tablet!!** PROS: - I don’t get the tummy ache and nausea I get from immediate release iron. - I started to feel improvement in my energy levels after only 2 weeks. Your mileage may vary, but if you take these consistently, every day without fail, you will begin to see improvements. - After a month and a half, not only was my energy improved, but I had less brain fog and (secondary to the improved energy and elimination of brain fog) more motivation. - Now after over 3 months of taking these *every single day without fail*, my insomnia has disappeared, I am sleeping deeper and therefore better, I no longer feel groggy in the morning, I have way more energy throughout the day, my nails have grown stronger (and the horizontal ridges I had in one of my nails is now completely gone), I don’t get short of breath, my heartbeat at rest has slowed to a healthy pace, and I just feel like a new person. Things to keep in mind: - Take them on an empty stomach for better absorption. I take them first thing in the morning before I get in the shower, so that there’s about an hour for them to absorb before I eat. For some, it may be best to take them before bed a few hours after eating dinner. - Others have recommended taking these at the same time as Vitamin C to aid absorption. I can’t really do this because Vitamin C inhibits the absorption of other medications I take, but if you can, you probably should.

Works for my anemia (doctor recommended it)
I was tired for years until a new doctor tested my blood and found out I had anemia. He recommended I try Slow Fe to see if it helped. He told me it doesn't cause as many stomach issues and constipation as other iron supplements. My doctor was 100% percent right. I can even take this without food, though it's still best that you eat something first. I've been taking it for months and have had constipation three times which is not a lot for me. Talk to your physician first, I cannot stress that enough. But if they recommend taking iron supplements, Slow Fe is what to get.

It’s easy on the stomach. Exactly what I needed.
I’ve been anemic for over 15 years and I take my medicine right before bed. But as we know with iron if you don’t take it with food it burns like fire and I hate eating right before I got to sleep. This iron supplement is so gentle I can take it with no issues and no food! I won’t use any other iron ever again. It is pricey but I feel it’s worth it to not be uncomfortable. I don’t taste a flavor but I swallow it with a gulp of water and several other vitamins and medications. So needless to say it’s easy to swallow too. I would recommend this product to anyone needing iron in their diet.

Best Iron pill!
I am glad that this iron pill is available! My doctor told me I am low on iron, I tried other iron pills but they upset my stomach! This is so gentle! Yes to reduce the upset stomach more, take with food and my doctor told me to make it absorb better, take it with a glass of orange juice or 250mg of vitamin C. My enegry levels went back up. around 2 months in, I felt like an active teenager again!
