This little hub has become a must-have on my desk. It plugs into a USB-A port, and suddenly I’ve got slots for SD, micro-SD, and even extra USB ports—all simultaneously. Transferring files from my camera’s SD card is noticeably faster than my laptop’s built-in reader, and it doesn’t spike in temperature like some cheaper hubs. Everything just works when I plug it in: cards mount instantly, transfer speeds hold steady, and I’m back to sorting photos in a flash. That said, while USB 3.0 speed is respectable, it doesn’t turn your 200 MB/s SD card into a rocket ship—think more “decent commute” than “supersonic.” And even though it’s compact, it can add clutter if you’re juggling cables and dongles already. Still, this hub is dependable, well-built, and worth tossing in your bag if you regularly hop between devices. It’s one of those “just solves stuff” tools that you don’t realize you needed—until you do, and then you actually thank the USB gods.

Worked great! After buying this for the PC in my shop, I found out that my home PCs card reader was out of date. It wasn't able to properly read newer SDHC cards. Took me a few hours to figure it out. I thought I had bought bad SD cards. The cards were 64GB and my old reader was showing them as 1GB or something weird. I finally took the SD cards to the shop to give this reader a try. It worked perfectly! I have since ordered another one of these for the home PC to replace the old built in reader. Time will tell if it is durable, but for the month or two I have had it, it hasn't let me down.

Multiple ports allot for high functionality, extremely easy to use and very small to be tucked away for storage but not small enough to use. Feels like high quality materials for value.

All I needed was an SD card reader; simple and effective. As is frequently common with electronic devices these days, the directions are provided in barely legible instructions; but on second thought they were provided in written form.

Works great - compatible with PCs and laptops and supports nearly all memory card formats used today. It was quickly recognized and transfers data swiftly and stayed cool. Light and portable for mobile use. Great price. Perfect!

This works pretty well, though it would not read a micro drive, which is the same size/pinout at a CF drive. I was disappointed in that, but I'm thinking it is not designed to read MDs. I was hopeful! That said, this product is a good plug-in solution if your PC/Mac doesn't have a built-in flash card reader or you just have a need for more. Recommended.

2/23/2017 @ 4:03 PM A representitive from GREEN and I have been in contact. The first person wasn't understanding me, but the 2nd person's English is better, Debbie. I sent pictures of the pin that broke. She has informed me that the developer(s) will be checking into the Firmware, but at this time Amazon has a large portion of this item. It's very possible that I got 1 bad product, but the Costomer Service has been excellent! If more companies were like this, I think business would have a better reputation like it did 30 years ago. I'll be keeping watch for newer products by UGREEN. I will admit, that on the outside the device does come across as cheaper, but don't let that fool you. Other than a non-functional CompactFlash port, it works well. They were cool enough to refund my money and didn't insist on me returning it to them, the pictures were enough. This review is adjusted because of excellent customer service...and product being looked into for updating. 2/17/2017 7:30 PM. This product is junk. I use ComfactFlash a lot. Swap them in and out, usually Not any problem at all. This evening as I inserted one the softtware I use didn't register it. I wondered why. So I pulled it, and inserted the next. Checked same program (not App) again. Nothing, just "Generic Device". I thought that odd, so I got my Magnififer and Flashlight and suddenly I could see why. The pin on the upper left, 2 from the right, had been pulled WAY up apperently and then shove down crossing or connecting with the pin on the far left (1st from the left). WELLLLLlllll...not a wonder it's not recogized anymore. This is something I've not encoutered before and should not happen if made well. Sadly, I'd ask for my money back but...I think it's 30 days into owning and using.. So I'm going to look for another, better base device. Other than the pin, the Customer Service with some other challengs hasn't proven very good. Customer service isn't very good with English and at first I thought I was dealing with a Teenager who uses a Cellphone way too much. Came aross very unprofesional. The device is still good for all other ports except CompactFlash now. But the "Generic DEVICE" doesn't pass the info of the Card along very well. UGREEN, I have lowered my star rating because of this experience. Do not buy this!!! After using this a few times, I have to report that it doesn't work as well as I'd hoped for. I bought it so I could use 2 different cards at the same time. A CompactFlash and SDCard. The way the device is made, both aren't always always noticed as seperate. I use this hardware with Emulation software, as well as "per normal" with Windows and Mac. I also use it with other OSes, and all around, it fails with a LOT of small and big files combined. It would really help if the different ports would be called something totally different from each other, I'm sure. It's not worth returning for the price. I just won't use it for heavy loads.
