GRAPHTECH PT-6116-00 BLACK TUSQ XL NUT SLOTTED 1 11/16inch

I am a guitar tech and I regularly install Graphtech nuts on customers guitars, but this time I fitted this nut to my Blueridge acoustic guitar. No more strings pinging in the nut and improved harmonic response, these really do work. Apart from a little tweak with the sandpaper it fitted perfectly. It is normal to have to shim them occasionally to get the optimum string height for your guitar.

I installed a Stetsbar tremolo on my Les Paul Custom. I had two different luthiers install bone nuts and still I had tuning issues. I decided to take a crack at it myself and install a Graphtech Black Tusq XL (pre cut for Les Paul). I purchased the pre-slotted style as I have no experience in cutting nut slots or the proper tools to do so. There was a bit of sanding needed but I took my time and obtained a great fit. I did not have to make any adjustments to the nut slots themselves. I did have to sand the bottom to obtain the proper string height and the back/sides a bit to fit the nut into the nut slot on the fret board.This nut completely eliminated my binding and tuning problems. I think the key to success is don't rush and "check-fit" the nut many times so you attain a tight, solid fit.

Sillet acheté pour augmenter légèrement l’écartement des cordes de ma guitare, donc pas compatible à la base. Les dimensions semblaient conformes à la description (même si je n’y ai pas prêté une grande attention). J’ai gardé le radius du sillet ainsi que les encoches, pour le reste, j’ai du poncer l’ensemble. Facile à usiner, semble résistant, j’ai l’impression que la guitare sonne très légèrement plus clair, ce qui me convient très bien.

Me vino muy bien empaquetado, en perfectas condiciones, lo he comprado para sustituir una cejuela de plástica (muy mala) de una guitarra LTD EC-10, tuve que hacer algún ajuste pero ha quedado de las mil maravillas.
