Terrible packaging and low quality
I read the reviews warning of the dimness and the likelihood that some of the bulbs would arrive broken and ordered them anyway. To be honest, I thought some reviewers may be comparing the illumination with the newer brighter bulbs (which give me headaches which is why I still seek out the incandescent variety.) I ordered two packages - each with 2 bulbs. 1 of the 4 bulbs was shattered with broken glass all over the envelope. Why would light bulbs in thin cardboard boxes be packaged in a soft sided envelope? That seems insane. Of course bulbs are going to break. I tested the ones which were not broken in a chandelier with other 60 watt incandescent bulbs and the difference in brightness was striking. These are definitely dimmer. I know it's tough to find incandescent bulbs now, but I wouldn't buy these again.

Nice bulb
The bulb is fine. The light it gives off is nice. The problem is that it was a two pack and only one bulb survived shipping.

Just the light bulbs I needed
I just moved into a new rental, and was concerned because this fixture in particular was flashing/flickering no matter which A19 size of bulb I installed from the ones I had. I contacted the landlord, and she suggested I try incandescent bulbs. I bought the 25W, and these light bulbs did the trick. I have a functional fixture again! I love the warm soft glow, compared to the harsh light from LED bulbs. Excellent value for the money.
