Scarves

I love this book. It gives you an overview of the different scarf brands, styles, etc. It has lots of pictures of scarves but not alot of details . This book has general information with brief history but still one of the better scarf books out there for collectors. This book will make you try to find the scarves refenced in it.

The cover of this book is a work of art with texture and depth. I bought this for my mom who loves textiles and vintage things and she was incredibly pleased. A great gift for those on your list who don't really need anything but appreciates beauty.

What a fab book of vintage scarves and stories. This book itself has a silky threaded cover, making this coffee table book even more spectacular to display. A great piece if you are a lover of scarves. A perfect gift.

Biggest pluses about this title are the full page plates of individual scarves, as well as the history of scarves and scarf houses (ie: Hermes, Liberty, Jacqmar, etc). It certainly gives one a new appreciation for what to look out for while on the scarf hunt in thrift stores and on E-bay. That said, the last chapter "Collectibles" , is more about the yes-you-can-be-a-scarf-collector-too!! message than about any good data on scarf values in the collecting world. Still worth the buy.

It covers one style of artsy-fartsy overhyped styles that are on essense are rather ugly (= dada contemporary) and translates poorly onto silk. Save your eyes and brain cells. Skip it.

Quality production, paper and binding.excellent writing, very happy with this book

This book is beautiful. Quality paper, and all the photos are in color. The histories are brief but informative. A true feast for the eyes, if you love scarves.
