The battery is CR2032 3V Lithium. When you open the unit the battery should have the number stamped on it.

Yes...depending on the adjustments of your table/miter saw this should suffice to measure the angles.

Yes, but I was unhappy with this angle finder. I bought it in 2019. It seemed inaccurate and didn't keep its zero setting. Replacing its battery didn't help. I have been happier with the Preceva Digital Angle Finder here on Amazon, but that one is currently listed as unavailable! The Lothie brand 2 piece digital angle finder looks very, very similar, costs $20, but I'm not sure why you would need 2 of them (one black, one white). Another option for a wall or ceiling is a digital level/inclinometer. It's a little square thing (I have a Wixey, but don't see it listed here, but they all look about the same). These are usually magnetic on one side. You can stick it to your table saw to zero it, then raise the saw blade and stick it on the blade to set it very accurately to your needed cutting angle. If you have a drill press with a table that pivots, you will find that the 2-blade angle finder is a pain to use to adjust that. There are some work-arounds, but the inclinometer can do it by zeroing it on the drill press chuck and then setting the angle on its table. My suggestion is to get both the inclinometer and the angle finder, but look for a better one. Read the reviews, of course, and be skeptical of all of this Chinese stuff. Be careful cutting the angle into the 2x4 and make a test cut first into a short piece of scrap 2x4. To make a 15 degree cut, the digital gauges will sometimes read out 75 or 105 degrees depending on where it was zeroed and in which direction you are measuring. Measure 5 times (twice isn't enough), cut a test piece and only then cut the actual work piece and then maybe (maybe) you'll get it right! And make sure that the cut 2x4 will be a couple of inches too long to fit because you can always make it shorter!
