Update - July 2018 - after years of abuse and wondrous service in bath and lake, it finally sprang a leak - the weak point is at the top, where the black portion meets the rest of the sleeve. If you use the carry cord, it pulls and that juncture (on the back on mine) bears the brunt of the stress. It's also hidden from view, so I didn't see the progression. I only note this so other users can keep an eye out for that kind of wear... I still love this darn thing. It is an amazingly simple yet durable waterproofing solution and has put up with more abuse than I ever should've reasonably expected it to! For 10 bucks it is perfection. If you have an old Kindle keyboard, congratulations, with this bag you now have a very inexpensive waterproof kindle. This helped breath new life into an old friend and I can't recommend it highly enough. Heck, I just bought a second one. -- end update-- It does what it says. I use it with my kindle keyboard in both the lake and bath and haven't had any problems so far. It's a bit of a pain putting it in or taking it out, but that's because of the double seal that ensures you can use it without worry... In other words, for a kindle, it's perfect. I can't attest to it's use with any for if touch screen device, but it is pliable enough to manage the kindle keyboards buttons and power switch, an impressive feat in itself. Using it to read while sitting in an inner tube, with full peace of mind is wonderful.

I purchased for use with a Kindle Paperwhite. The Kindle on/off switch is poorly designed being on the bottom. This makes turning the Kindle on/off while in the pouch difficult. Seems to me that products like Ipads and Iphones have more user friendly on/off switch design. Otherwise, the pouch works great. Unlike a few reviewers, it is easy to turn pages while in the pouch. The sealing system is the same as on the pouch I have used for my iPhone and has worked great for several years. There are 3 snap loc strips and these fold over each other and are snapped shut. Never had a leak with this design. The pouch is a little larger than the Kindle. This actually makes it a little easier to insert and remove the Kindle from the pouch. UPDATE: 2 1/2 years of use averaging 3 times a week the pouch seperated at the bottom seam where the kindle switch is located. This is where I would push to turn the kindle on/off. As I said in my initial review, the switch location on the kindle is a little awkward. The result of turning the device on/off for 2 1/2 years finally resulted in a failure in the seam. I think my usage is on the high side and am not downrating the pouch for this failure. I plan to reorder since none of the other competitors sound like they are better than the Walnew pouch. This time I will pay more attention to turning on/off and try not to stress the bottom seam in the process.

I have bought this item a few times over the years for myself and gifts. This one seems to be updated and easier to close the the older one I have. I use this while floating in the pool and lake and it works perfectly with my kindle. Its a great wet bag and i have never had it leak.

Full disclosure: I have not attempted to submerge my Kindle while it was inside this bag. I did try leaving it in water with a paper towel in it to see if it had any leaks, and the paper towel came out dry. The only other time I've used it was to read a book while soaking in the bath. I was able to use my Kindle while my hands were wet without worry of damaging it. I found that I was able to use the touch screen to turn the page without issue. All in all, I'm not confident in this bag's ability to keep my Kindle dry while submerged. I do, however, trust it to protect my Kindle from being splashed on.

My Kindle gen 6 fits just fine. Plenty of room and clear to see through and touch pad works through the plastic. Water tight.

Perfect for my kindle! Did the job. I was able to float around and read. Durable!

So far, so good! Did a test with a Kleenex inside and threw in the pool (overnight!) no water intrusion. It's great to read by the pool on the steps as my dog swims and splashes. Definitely a great buy for those that like to read in the pool or bath. Highly recommend! Just do a test before using. :)

It definitely seems to seal things in safely, and it seems that I can use my phone screen pretty well through the pouch, but not even remotely with my classic Kindle ... which is what I needed it for in the first place. 😕

I am so happy to be able to read in the tub and on the boat again! My eyes are too bad to read normal book print and I was missing the flexibility of paper books. This product is well constructed and I have no fear of water getting in. I am also thrilled that I can 'turn' pages and navigate my kindle while it is in the case.

the case is waterproof, but can be a bit difficult to click the on/off button on the bottom due to the thickness of the plastic. This is a small price to pay to protect my kindle though.
