BDCIM18N Impact Driver 18V Bare Unit

I've had a Black & Decker drill for a couple of years and been very pleased with it but it always took more effort to drive in screws than I liked so I was advised to try an impact driver. My drill had 2 batteries so I thought it made sense to get the corresponding Black & Decker model. When it arrived it was a little smaller and lighter than expected and really comfortable to hold. Not having a carry case was a shame though. Inserting and changing bits is a really simple and fast job and the difference between using this and my drill was obvious straight away. Firstly using good quality screws is important, I use Reisser, as this has the power to damage the heads of cheap screws before you realise what's happening. The trigger could be more progressive as it spins up quite fast for very little pressure on the trigger. When working with hardwood, with pre drilled pilot holes, this drives the screws in so quickly and with so little effort. In fact I have to be careful I dont drive them too far into the wood. It's also got more that enough power for drilling in large coach screws into wooden sleepers, which I used to make raised beds in the garden recently. The little LED is very useful when working in poor light. The battery ive been using is only a 1.5Ah but this has driven in over 100 40mm screws with plenty of charge left so it should be able to do a lot more. I would say this is plenty for an amateur DIY'er like myself. I think the value for money is excellent and I'm kicking myself for not buying it sooner! I hope you find my review helpful.

Super ding, ik heb hem nu een maand in gebruik en heb er geen klachten over, hij heeft genoeg kracht voor alle huis tuin en keuken dingen en doet het ook nog is snel! Heel tevreden over hij is ook zeer sterk
