Captured screw on top makes attaching/detaching camera much easier and safer than spinning the camera on. Offset arm makes leveling easier. Ball mount is solid, makes changing from horizontal to vertical mount simple.

Actually better quality than I expected - A Very Pleasant Surprise! I use this for photo "down shots" with a Nikon "L" series camera and it is is easy to set up and holds very steady.

This is such a useful tool. Lets you put a camera, video recorder, phone, etc. on top of a slender microphone stand or boom stand rather than a tripod, which takes up more footprint. I use it to hold my video camera or phone when recording musical performances. Much easier to put a microphone stand in an audience location rather than a tripod, which has expanding feet. Especially if you’re trying to position it between rows of seats or within pews, for example, in a church.

inexpensive and WORKS. fits perfectly mic threads. We use on a boom mic stand to hang items for photographing. VERY FLEXIBLE and easy to position. Easy to position subject for view from camera to have desired background (for cropping and photoshopping). We substituted the wheel screw/bolt with a hex bolt (longer) and used a wing nut to secure clamp. Mounted a standard office paper bulldog binder clamp (that actually holds the subject matter). - - - - Just bought a second one and added more pictures here. We use the second one on a microphone desk stand for product and still life photography. With the goose neck desk stand, there are many degrees of freedom for articulation/positioning. Again a great product. The extra 2 hex head bolts within the clamp are to provide a "stop" (boundary) so the end of the subject matter being clamped won't pivot/move within the grasp of the clamp. With them inset, there are 4 places (two sides to each bolt head) to choose the best for the leveraged anchoring.

I'm using this item to hold a Zoom recorder over a grand piano for good recordings. It is sturdy and holds the recorder securely in the exact position needed. The side that screws over the 5/8" microphone stand fits well. I don't know how well it would hold something heavier like a camera, but for my purposes it's perfect.

Keep in mind that these is one of those products labelled with the increased risk of cancer and birth defects. My guess is that it's lead, which is often added with metallic products. I saw no such warning before buying, and had to return it. And to be clear, I'm a materials engineer familiar with substances used in products, and know to take it seriously.

I got this Gator Frameworks Camera Mount to attach my DJI Osmo Action 4 to my microphone stand, and it works perfectly. Sturdy, easy to set up, and keeps the camera exactly where I need it. Nothing fancy, just reliable. You will also need tripod mount adapter for your camera, so you can attach it to this mount.

One of the best camera accessories I've bought recently. Paired with a good sturdy microphone stand (I use a TAMA MS205) you can use it to mount a camera above a drum kit or piano for an better overhead shot than an average camera tripod can achieve. In this same vein I'd say it could also work for an overhead shot for working at a desk without taking up extra space on the desk for a tripod, or drilling into a wall for a wall mount.
